We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programs. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you. « less

This park is a must see on the Brasilian side of the falls. Most cages are large with access for pedestrians to walk through. The various species of macaw are a treat, but it is the cheeky toucans which steal the show. There's also the mandatory python to drape around you - always good fun.

Definitely worth a trip here just to see some of the rare species that are in South America. The Parrot enclosure is worth the visit alone. Anacondas, Alligators, Flamingoes, Butterflies and 100's of other species of birds. Lots of photo opportunities and the open enclosures are great to see Toucans, Parrots and lots of Brazilian wildlife up close.

You learn a lot there and there is an amazing amount of different birds of Brasil , a few snakes etc... You can walk around and read all the explanations on the type of animal you are looking at. On some places, you walk in huge places where the birds fly around you.

You should visit this and the falls on the same day if possible. They are walking distance to each other. This park is incredible! It´s really beautiful and well structured for the birds. You get to enter a few of the areas where the birds are.

There is no other way to describe it. This park is a gem that needs to be appreciated and recognized by the honourable work of preserving the species and giving everyone the opportunity of getting such a close contact with so many different animals, especially birds. Young kids generally are very excited being so close to toucans and macaws, among... More

This place has beautiful birds that you are unlikely to catch in the wild. Seeing the beautiful Tucans up close was very nice!!

If you have a couple of hours to spare in Iguacu, definitely visit the bird park. The toucans are spectacular and there are several walk in cages where you can get close to the birds. Great photo opportunities and the park is well maintained.

I love parrots and this park allows you to get up close and personal. It took us an hour and a half to fully enjoy the park. Plenty of large aviaries to explore. Trails have lots of foliage so you feel like you're in the rainforest instead of an open zoo like setting. It's on your way to the falls.... More

the park is very nice, very well organized. the size is just right - not too long with plenty of different birds, butterflies and other flying creatures. our kids were 3.5 and 2 years old and were a bit too young to appreciate most of the park, but older kids should have a very nice experience, i believe.
