Owner description: Parque das Aves is a conservation project in the Atlantic Rainforest near Foz do Iguassu, Brazil. We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programs. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you.

Well worth the cost. The birds are beautiful in the natural habitat. The 2 hour walk is in the shade of the forest on a good path. There is no rush and you can just sit and watch the birds in very large cages where they have lots of room to fly around. Nature at its best not to be... More

The park is well laid out - single path takes in all the birds, reptiles and butterflies. While some are in smaller aviaries it is great to walk through large enclosures and see the birds in the "wild". There is a wide variety of parrot, macaws and toucans as well as water birds. Everything seems very well managed and the... More

we were in iguazu falls area during the world cup, very well organised park, the tour will take approximately 90 min. You are very close to macaw and toucan and they are a huge variety of births. It is better to do it in the morning before visiting the falls (who are in front of the park) in order not... More

After visiting the falls on the Brazilian side we "automatically" stumbled onto this park and it was well worthwhile. The birds and reptiles are kept under circumstances very close to their natural habitat, in huge cages where they can really fly. Gorgeous colors, beaks and feathers. Interesting too.

We stumbled across this after we visisted the falls and was glad that we went having not done any research on it. The birds are all in a cage but the cages are very large and it is almost like they are in the wild. You get to walk through them and get really close to exotic birds such as... More

We had one day to spend in Iguazu Falls National Park on the Brazil side. The first place we went to visit was the famous Parque Das Aves Bird park. The park was a bit humid for me, but comfortable. This park is very well maintained. There are huge cages and open areas for different exotic birds and animals. There... More

We came here after doing the helicopter ride across the road. The park was an unexpected highlight. It has a wide variety of local birds which are in very large enclosures. There was also a bit of information about each bird. This is well worth a visit if you are at the falls.

Wonderful collection of not only birds, but some other animals as well. Often you feel you're seeing them in the wild. Great opportunity for photography, and for entertaining children. Not too hot even in the summer. Needs about 90 minutes to do it justice - well worth the price.

Fantastic park! You get to visit huge caged areas where hundreds of macaws live freely, they will fly near and around you. No zoo will give you this unique opportunity to experience colorful wild birds. You also get to visit toucans. Don't get there too late, because there are also a few domesticated macaws to take a really close photo... More

The Bird Park near the Foz fo Iguacu airport (Brazil side) was fantastic. The collection of birds is amazing and the toucan display is stunning, It took us a leisurely 2 hours to walk around.
