We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programmes. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you. « less

The Bird Park is well worth a visit during a trip to see the falls. It is located right outside the Brazilian National Park. There is a set path to negotiate through all the attractions. The variety on show is good and you can get close to many of them as you can enter the cages. Beware the dive bombing... More

This park is amazing! there many birds -and snakes and butterflies as well-. If you're into nature and photography, you won't be dissapointed as you'll get the chance to get really close to many of them (without bars inbetween). it's located right by the Iguacu national park. Definitely Worth a Visit. More

Initially I was not too bothered to see the bird park, however my guide said many people are surprised how good it is. As our guide had been very good to that point, we decided to visit. It was about 40rs to enter and it probably took 2.5 hours to walk through the park. Initially I thought all the birds... More

The birds are treated well, but they should be free to fly! More

Hi there! We're glad you liked the park. We completely agree that birds should be free to fly. That's why the Parque das Aves has giant, free-fly aviaries in the forest. We're building a lot more, too. It is important for you to know that our birds have been confiscated by the environment agency from trafficking and other conditions. The... More

The Bird Park is a misleading name as it has many more creatures inlcuding snakes, caymans and a nice butterfly enclosure. Really nice place to visit, the parrots are so bright you need sunglasses and so loud youcould do with earplugs! You can walk through many of the enclosures so you can get right up close to the birds which... More

The bird park is located right across the street from the Iguassu Falls Park so you can walk right over. From the street all you can see is an ostrich pen, a ticket shack and the parking lot so it doesn't look all that impressive. Behind the fence, however, is a much bigger and more beautiful park than I expected!... More

Great way to spend a few hours especially if you have more than 1 day at the falls in Brazil. There are some aviaries you can walk through & other exhibits you can only look at. Excellent opportunity to get up close to Toucans & Macaws. Be careful with the Toco Toucans, one snuck up behind me & took a... More

Hi! We're glad you liked the park. We love the free-fry aviaries the most too and we're glad that you agree! The new projects you mention are all walk-through aviaries: A gigantic new walk-through macaw aviary, a walk-through owl aviary with tame murucututu owls which are active in the daytime, a walk-through aviary for songbirds. All feedback is much appreciated... More
