Parque das Aves is a conservation project in the Atlantic Rainforest near Foz do Iguassu, Brazil. We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programs. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you.

We visited this attraction during a stay at the adjacent Brazilian National Park. The averies are extensive with lots of different species and it is possible to enter some of these to get a close up of the birds. In particular the Macaw Avery was exciting with the birds swooping low over your heads. If you are staying in the... More

Parque das Aves is quite a nice collection of caged birds and butterflies. Lots of interesting information is presented on each species if you take the time to read it. Those who have access to a zoo with a comprehensive bird collection, as we do, will find the price of admission quite steep. No discounts for seniors, families, etc, make... More

Really worth a few hours while you are at the falls. We stayed at Belmond and visited the bird park on our way to the airport (left bags at the gate, taxi met us there.) We allowed two hours and it was a bit too short.

If you have the time you should add this on to your tour of the falls. This aviary is located just outside the gate to the Iguacu park and it cost R$35.00 for an adult (I am sorry I did not note the child price but I am sure it is a bit less). Please schedule enough time to leisurely... More

Excellent visit, it allows you to experience the forest walks you see from THE buses and Paris on both sides. Even better, excellent to see the exotic, tropicale variety of birds , snakes and caymans. We took two hours en route back to the airport, easy access.

Close to the Iguacu National Park, within walking distance of its entrance. The Parque Das Aves has large bird aviaries where you can walk inside and see the parrots and macaws up close. The park is well done and definitely worth a visit as part of a visit to the falls.

A great attraction to visit. Costs R33 as of April 2015. Lots of Birds from around the world. The Macaw exhibit was fabulous! Also had a reptile and butterfly exhibit. Don't miss this one. Takes 2-3 hours.

Close to the national park, a lovely bird park in the tropical forest. The park is well layed out, with a good range of birds. We visited early morning and although it was rainguards at times it did not spoil the experience. Well worth the visit if you have time, we spent a good three hours here.

We spent a few hours on our last day visiting the bird park. Wonderful collection of very colorful and exotic birds. Many in large aviaries where they have a lot more room to fly around. The people working there are very helpful and keep things moving properly. There are some good activities for kids as well in addition to the... More
