Parque das Aves is a conservation project in the Atlantic Rainforest near Foz do Iguassu, Brazil. We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programs. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you.

We went here before visiting the Brazilian side of the falls. It took us around 1.5hrs to walk round and was well worth it. They have some snakes, butterflies but many many bird enclosures. The highlight for me was the macau enclosure where the birds swoop down as they traverse across from branch to branch. The park is almost all... More

Located by the entrance to the National Park, this attraction conserves and displays many different birds many of which are only found in Brazil or other parts of South America. In several cases you can walk into the caged area thus giving a feel of total freedom for the birds.Butterfly House is another part of the attraction. Parque das Aves... More

It does not look like something interesting from outside, but I loved to spend time there. You will find much more than you expect. Definitely worth spending couple hours there. The way you visit the birds is really successful, they did a great job. You won't be bored. Suitable for all ages.

An excellent park for visitors from all over. it is organized and just beautiful. Enjoy Araras flying over your head and see the big hawks they have in there. The park was founded by an English and now it is administered by his wife.

The park was a pleasant surprise. It took us probably 2-3 hours to follow a well designed path through forest and sparse enclosed areas where birds were abandoned and sometimes quite curious of the visitors. We had fun! Time well spent!

Very well organized. Animals are kept in a very good condition. But the cage with eagles and condors made me really sad (they are kept in a big space, but not big enough for those birds. When I think, that in a few km from there, they are "cutting" the sky above the waterfall and here they can't do even... More

Nice, clean and friendly bird park. It surprised positively in the way the birds were handled. We spent some hours here on a hot afternoon. It wasn't very commercial; the kids could hold a parrot and pat a big snake without additional charge. Really nice athmosphere.

We knew this Bird Park was good but it was great. We enjoyed the park's design as it was a hot day but the park remained cool. We were able to use credit card for entry expenses. The birds were exotic and looked well cared for. It would be hard to see some of the rare birds if not for... More
