We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programs. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you. « less

This bird zoo is very nice and one of the best in the world. The route through the zoo will get you inside the birds cage. The birds will be right at your side and some will interact with you. The humming bird cage is interesting because sometimes you do not see them but they will pass right by or... More

My two boys loved this park. Birds and more birds. Not too expensive and a three minute walk from the main gate to the Hotel das Cataratas and the Falls. The second aviary wih the toucans was our favorite. The last aviary is the largest and has the most birds, but was more hectic. At the exit, there are tame... More

We went to the bird park before visiting the falls as it is right near by, the park had loads of bird species which you can get close to in walkthrough avaries. The birds are well kept and have decent enclosures our favourite birds were the hiasynth macaws, toucans and the hummingbirds which are in the butterfly house

Our driver suggested this Park on the way to the fall of Iguacu. It took only a couple of hours to walk through. We saw exotic birds we would never see in such a natural surrounding. They were talking, singing, and flying.

Great park, lots of beautiful birds from the region. The park is clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved the huge aviaries where you could get really close to the birds.

Allthough we're not birds fans, we really liked the park. Full of coloured birds posing at arm length for the camera. And it was one of the few not horribly expensive attractions in Brazil!

This park is lovely. The birds are colourful, it is very well upkept, and the Toucans (my favourite!!) are able to be very close to us. I am sick to death of people saying "the birds are sad, they should be free" because this opinion is unresearched. 50% of the birds are rescued, so probably would be dead in the... More

This bird park is located near the entrance to the Iguassu National Park. It is privately owned and very well maintained. It is home to about 800 species of birds, animals and butterflies. The aviaries are huge which allow the birds to fly free and this makes a perfect setting to take great photos. My favourites were the flamingos which... More

This park is located on the Brazilian side of the Iguazu river and opposite the entrance to the Iguazu National Park. Leave at least 2 hours for going over the park as it is pretty big. Loads of toucans and macaws, some of them are quite tame so you might take close pictures with them. Go early to avoid the... More

So many awesome, colorful birds. There were so many different places to get up close to the tropical birds. Watch out above you. Bombs away.
