We take in birds which have been rescued from animal trafficking or are for some reason no longer able to survive in the wild. We give them a home in their beautiful native rainforest. We love huge aviaries. We think birds should be able to fly, and have a great social life, and feed on the best, fresh, organic diet possible. We then breed a new generation of birds which are capable of being released back into the wild (and we have a number of projects that do exactly that.) We also support projects and research throughout Brazil. We plant thousands of trees a year, restoring degraded Atlantic Rainforest. The Parque das Aves thinks that education is one of our most important tasks. Sometimes it's as simple as giving people direct contact with these beautiful birds. It's amazing what that can do. We also educate thousands of local schoolchildren a year in special programs. Thank you for supporting Parque das Aves. We couldn't do it without you. « less

I expected this place to be a bit naff but I actually really enjoyed my morning there. There are a few of the enclosures where you are in with the birds and they fly around you. They are quite tame and are not bothered by people getting up close to them to get a good look which felt really special.

The Bird park has many very colourful birds in large cages. I thought I might find the captivity disturbing but I feel the birds had plenty of space and were well looked after. My highlight was a parrot saying "Ola" to me and I have it on video too! The shop had some very reasonably priced souvenirs.

We visited this bird park in September, 2013, while in Foz do Iguacu, Bazil. While we are biased because we love birds, we found the park to be excellent. First of all, when we paid the entry fee, we thought the woman at the entry booth gave us too much change, but apparently not, it amounted to a few USD... More

One of the must see attractions in Foz do Iguaçu. You can perfectly fit a visit to Parque das Aves in the same day than the Brazilian Falls since it's located around 200m from the entrance of the National Park. The visit will take about 1 to 2h. Be aware that the park does not accept any credit or debit... More

When I first got into the park I was like this is going to be so so boring. As we went on we started to have an really fun time! There is a butterfly garden, bird park, and many more fun activities hope you go there as well and have as much fun as we did! 😄

When at the falls don't miss going to see all these exotic birds. We spent about 2 hours there and we thought it was well worth it. You can see all types of exotic birds. Many are walking around right besides you and you can get some really good pictures. They even have a butterfly area where there are many... More

Of course nothing can compete with the glory of Iguacu Falls, but this bird park was magnificent and well worth a visit. We spent over 2 hours wandering from aviary to aviary, each one filled with spectacular birds that were almost too dazzling to believe. The facility was immaculate, beautifully landscaped and a model for conservation. They have breeding programs... More

It was very special to see so many of South America's brightly coloured birds. Best of all was being able to stand right next to glorious improbable toucans. Seeing a tree full of scarlet ibises was pretty amazing. And wow! those macaws!

The park is very well maintained. The are some "giant cages" where you can get in and get really close to the birds. They are so used to the presence of humans that you can even touch them. Many species of colorful birds and reptiles in just one place!
