This is a huge lake which borders the Itaipu Dam. The dam is visible from a boat on the lake which is a fun activity

I believe this area is just being developed and well be a really good recreational area in the future. It was interesting to see it on the dam tour

A multitude of water that seems to have no end . It makes us think that we should take care of our water to keep them always so huge and stunning .

I saw the Itaipu Lake as part of a tour of the Itaipu Dam. While it is essentially just an artificial lake the views here can be quite spectacular.

There is a restaurant next to it and some ferry but basically...an artificial lake. To be seen when coming from the dam but otherwise not a destination in itself.

Do the special tour and learn about the history of the dam. Have found in Brazil that if you only speak English you tend to have your own private tour guide. Our girl was so lovely and spoke excellent English. It was as good if not better than the Hoover dam!

Know that Lake buried one of the wonders of the world? The "7 Quedas" lie beneath the waters. Waters that drowned thousands of monkeys, jaguars, trees ... The environmental damage it may be necessary for industrial development but it is a real shame.
