In the middle of the city center you almost get a feeling of beeing at a jungle tour. The park has good space, and a lot of small tracks. The best time to come here is early morning before it gets crowded and too hot. Entrance fee is low - 2 BRL

A forest in the middle of the city. Very nice place with a variety of plants and tall trees. Occasionally you may see a cute capybara walking around. I managed a mediocre shot of it since it was moving fast and I can't switch lenses fast enough lol! They have nice little lagoons and streams. I guess one thing I... More

If you are to visit Belem then it is a must that you come here! Entry is only R$2 per person and the park itself is beautiful - I got my frist look at a sloth here!

This place would have been nice in its heyday but it is rather shabby and dull now. Caged monkeys and caged birds and murky water with sad looking fish. We felt sorry for the animals and left pretty sharpish.

It's good to visit this garden, it is possible to see various species of trees typical of the Amazon. In addition some animals.

There are several rather poor cages with monkeys, birds etc. But look carefully and you will see ¨wild¨monkeys in the trees and strange animals running across the paths. A taste of the rain forest in the heart of the city. Sunday is the most lively day to visit.

The way it was is the way it is. Provides the visitor a place to stroll and relax besides providing the visitor a glimpse into what it is like in the jungle. Animals and plants are kept in average condition considering the number of people who visit at times. Real nice place.
