Great gardens with local wildlife up close and personal. Done in the restaurant on site right on the water and climb the lighthouse for a great view. Very glad I got to go here!

beautiful setting, beautiful view, even though is an artificial-amazon setting. must go up the tower to see belem from the heights. the problem there is that, since its a new place and the trees are still a bit small, in sunny days it might not be such a pleasant walk.

Very close to downtown - only 5 min by taxi or 20 min by walking - the Mangal has different environments where the visitor can see plants, birds, butterflies, orchids in a very clean and well preserved site. Also there is a tower - called lighthouse - reached by an elevator where you can see the city from the top... More

This is an area flooded by the river with lots of natural ecosystem (fauna and flora) to be appreciated. They have a good restaurant, in an all-you-can-eat buffet style, but that serves perhaps the best food in town. Try the different river fishes for a regional experience. But they offer everything regional you can find in Belém, in addition to... More

It was a bit out of the way, but worth the time to get there. Although the facilities are in need of some love and care, the different spaces with amazing birds make it all very interesting and great for photos. We explored the aviaries, the tower and the little walk. We also tasted local delicacies and amazon fruit ice... More

Beautiful place with many "Garças" around. Nice place to visit and take some pictures. Just too hot even in the winter.

Great place to see beautiful birds, go up the tower and see the city view and have lunch at the restaurant Manjar das Garças.

Interesting spaces, helpful information posted about flora and fauna, well spaced and paced. A lovely restaurant in the middle of the park rounded this out. I saw all kinds of birds in the aviary - flamingos, and dozens of birds I had never seen before. The butterfly exhibit was limited but I understand it is due to short term environmental... More

I really did not like the place very much. In the only cafeteria available there is no coffee at all, the mangrove in some places were strewn with garbage (the ubiquitous PVC bottles), the price for the different attractions inside were not clearly shown and maybe because it was a sunday, there were crowds around. The garças itself, well...

When I was in Mangal place was abandoned, and with very strange people around, I felt unsafe, not to mention that is isolated and access more complicated than other points. I advise against that.
