Learning about Belém's religious mind

Many statues and instruments used in church service at display. It's a good oportunity to see how religion chances a little but from place to place to adapt to local culture.

Wonderful museum in a splendid historical building. One of the "items" of the museum is... a real church, now no longer used for religious purposes. It is a unique type of baroque, less heavy than typical Bahia and Minas baroque, really wonderful! You cannot miss it if you are in Belém.

I just can't see antique churches as tourist stops. Has some historical, artistical, even religous value. Recommended for those into it, only.

Very well treated, lots of historical sculptures of saints from different artists. Close to almost all historical sites of Belem

Nice collection of relics, sculptures and old oil paintings, most of them of the 18th century, with religious inspiration. The day I went there it was very dark and only the legends were illuminated. So if I may give one suggestion it would be: More lights here, please.
