Unique Experience indeed. it was thrilling, frightening, and amazing.. you will experience all types of feelings in few hours. Experiencing Rappelling in the a cave with 72 meters hight is fascinating itself.. let alone snorkelling and diving! Well it might be a bit cold, but not that you can't manage, and you will wear wet suit, so.. no worries on... More

Abismo Anhumas is a really different experience, that you might remember your whole life. Through a hole in the rock you get down to the cave rappelling - 72m down to the lake!!! You practice some activities down there (snorkelling, boat trip) and then climb back to the top, using your arms strenght. The visual down there is the most... More

If you're in fit and looking for an adventure thats a must in Bonito. Pretty independent on the weather conditions, well organised, and very intensive. Reserve an afternoon day before for a short training. Be aware of cold inside, and avoid in case you're afraid of height or space ;) Also prepare for an ungroomed road to get there.

Unique experience in a wild ride. You do not need experience with rappelling, but is only recommended for people who like adventures.

After getting into the deep cave, you can dive at the sweet water lake, up to thirty feet deep. Awesome!

Such a unique and otherworldly place. Most of the group I was with enjoyed Rio da Prata better (which is also beautiful) but I subscribe to the theory that earned adventures, like earned beers, are best. As others have noted, book in advance, and be prepared for a stunning rappel down, and then to pull yourself back up those 72... More

Abismo Anhumas is a must in Bonito for the adventurous and is worth its price. It is hard to say which part is best - the abseil, snorkeling (or diving) or going up. We visited Abismo Anhumas last April. At this time of the year, there is no direct sun in the cave. I've been told the most beautiful time... More

We booked a rappel and scuba dive in the cave 6 months before, through and external agency, who in turn used a local agency to book with the operator that takes you into the cave. The local agency, it turns out, never actually made a booking with Anhumas, so when we arrived at the agency the day before we were... More
