it is a kinda blue lagoon, were you can float or dive (depends on what you paid for), but it almost has no sub aquatic life.

The lago is normally closed in the summer months because of the algae bloom that sets in January to April. We were lucky to visit because our tour operator from Paraguay (Aventura Extremas via Ygarape tours) had contacts. They are working on preventing plant and animal material from falling into the lake to minimize the algae bloom in the summer... More

I did this dive as a day trip from Bonito while travelling through on an Intrepid tour. The hotel kindly booked a car transfer and the dive the day before. The site is within the Recanto Ecologico Rio da Prata, an eco-tourism approved centre situated amongst farm land about an hours (bumpy) drive from Bonito. There is a new road... More

The Lagoa is beautiful, we only did snorkeling but it was breathtaking. The water was super blue and a bit cool (which was great as it was very hot outside). Only one group at time is allowed in the Lagoa so it wasn't crowded at all (we were about 8 people in our group). Anyway, worth checking it out.

The lake is very Blue due to magnesium deposits. We weren't expecting it to be such a nice colour, as pictures are often deceiving - but it's just like the pictures. This is suitable for first time divers, we went in without knowing how to scuba dive - we could only go 8 meters deep for safety reasons. Not many... More

I haven't done the Anhuns Cliff Tour however the mysterious lagoon is amazing, absolutely fantastic. The colour of the water and the visibility underwater is crazy. Recommended

The dive was down to around 25-30 meters in one spot, and another 20 meters in the other spot. I did not go diving in the last 6-7 years, and this dive was probably the most easy dive I have ever had. The water is super clean with 60 meters of visibility. When I was down at 30 meters, I... More

Great snorkelling as I could not dive due a cold, but that was enough to explore it, short dives and admire the blue water and the dancing rays of light.

I combined this with Rio De Patra. The walk in was pleasant but if you have trouble with stairs this is not for you. The lake is at the bottom of a very steep set of stairs. You enter into the most incredibly blue water. The guide took lots of pictures of the people in the group with their cameras... More
