The recanto is very well geared for tourism. It´s organized and has clean bathrooms and changing facilities and t the groups are still intimate. You can dive or snorkel in the Rio Plata and then the Mysterious lake (so called because no one knows how deep it is-just that it´s over 250 meters) (Note the Mysterious Lake is usually closed... This is the main reason that people come to Mato Grosso do Sul! You come to see the crystal clear waters of Rio da Prata! What an unbelievable experience! The staff were friendly but there was not enough staff on hand to train us well in English to snorkel. You may find yourself waiting for the next group so that... More

Floating down the river with Sergio was a wonderful experience. The farm is very well kept, we spent a lovely time relaxing in our hummock. The only negative point was the buffet which could be improved (the meat was quite hard although we arrived early).

I came here for a day trip from Bonito while travelling through on an Intrepid tour. The hotel kindly booked a car transfer (R$136) for us from Bonito to Rio da Prata (we stopped at the sinkhole on the way to view macaws in the wild, I also highly recommend this!!). The diving was well organised with an English speaking... More

Rio da Prata is like swimming in an aquarium. The area is protected from fishing and pollution, and guests are even prohibited from wearing sunscreen or bug spray, in order to preserve the clean water. The visibility is insane and the river is teeming with small and large fish. Highly recommend.

Sure, it's not cheap but then nothing is in Bonito. Rio da Prata is definitely worth every penny. I've done this tour several times going along with tourist groups I was guiding through Brasil. You walk 30 minutes through the forest and then float for about 2 hours in the cristal clear water. Most times you'll be able to spot... More

This tour was my absolutely most favorite in Bonito as snorkeling experience is just too great than anywhere else in Bonito. Though all Bonito snorkeling is great but this one was best.

For many years I have been visiting the Rio da Prata and everytime again I'm totally convinced by the quality of the overall experience. Allthough hundreds of people visit the river you never feel the crowd. The managment does an excellent job in keeping small groups sepparated from each other. And there's much more than just the river and it's... More

In Bonito all activities are very expensive and this one is also a little expensive. As I had never been in a river with crystal water as Rio Prata I enjoyed a lot this experience. You spend about 2 hours and half in the activity and you can see a lot of fishes swimming next to you. I don't have... More

A must if you go to Bonito. A bit pricey, but service, facilities and guides are top notch. Flotation in Rio Prata must be the first in the list, and Lagoa Misteriosa is also nice for diving lovers. Don´t miss it!
