It's open later (til 6:30) than most of the other sites so a visit would be easy to add to your day. The exterior is interesting but the interior soars! There were three exhibits at the time of my visit: photography from the 1950s (good selection, well presented), contemporary photography (not my taste), and Soviet posters from WWII (with the... I just visited the outside of the building but like the surroundings and buildings a lot, typical Oscar Niemeyer architecture

Big space with little to show. There is some art but not something befitting a country as vast and varied as Brazil.

At the time of our visit, only a small portion of the main floor was open plus an exhibit on the second floor. Was a quick but interesting visit.

It looks like a UFO and in my opinion it's not Niemeyer's best work especially since it's next door to Catedral Metropolitana, his masterpiece. Museum is a misnomer since there's no permanent collection and is closed in between art shows...

I think they just painted the inside because there was hardly anything in there. Just a few boring looking prints in some low budget looking frames. I have a feeling even with a full display, this place has not much to show. Hard to believe it's called a national museum. Brazil, you can do better!

For what Brasilia has to offer, they have done really injustice to Niemeyer's architecture by putting really poor quality stuff in a national museum

Does not look like much from the outside, with free entry I pleasantly surprised with the variety of art work that was inside. Take your time walking around there are many different and interesting things to see. Have your camera ready.

Vale a visita pelo edifício, rendendo belas fotos no exterior. Mostras itinerantes, sem muita expressividade. Visita de meia hora. Nice to see the building, you can take beautiful pictures outside. Exhibitions without much expressiveness. Visit of half an hour.
