By european standards this is just a standard park in a nice neighbourhood. However having visited many areas in Brazil its nice to see a park which is frequently used by local schools to fly kites, joggers and couples walking. It feels safe as there are quite a few park staff working, its clean, it has a small pond with... More

The park itself has nothing special, it is just a regular park, with some areas for sports, places to walk around a nice pond, but the erosion o the Pedra da Cebola (translating means Onion Rock) is very interesting and unique, plus the fact that it is on top of another rock in a weird balance configuration, it is worth... Pedra da Cebola is the best urban park from Brazil. Small, beautiful, safe and everything is at a walking distance. A must see to visit, to rest, to relax, to take pictures, to read a book and even to work/study.

great place to chill out, lots of green area, a mini farm zoo, and most import, the magnificent "onion stone" or "pedra da cebola". you will want to stay for a couple of hours, and forget you're in a city.

The park's location is really good. It has a nice atmosphere to walk and practice sports. There is a baseball camp. The park is situated on top of a hill, so there are inclinations all over the place. There are animals that wander around the park. Pets are no allowed.

Excelente walk in the park. Small pond and birds to see. When you get hungry you can purchase "lanches" for reasonable prices.

In a city very short of green areas this is a nice attraction. If you don't have kids borrow a couple to take with you. It is a bit remote, near the University and airport but when you are tired of the dust and sand in the city and beach this is just the place for a picnic.

The place is small which is better when going with young children. My 1-old boy loved to see the birds in the lake. And we spend the morning laying on the grass and playing.

a nice place to walk and watch some pretty good soccer too. this name means 'onion rock' because of an unusual rock formation that looks like an onion sitting on a rock. the eighth wonder of the world. lol.
