I'm surprised I've never seen this idyllic place in a movie. The campus is small, only about 1400 students, but they are all very welcoming, intelligent and motivated. It's like Lake Wobegone for students - all above average. There is a beautiful student union with excellent food. Some of the townsfolk even come in to eat here. The chapel and... More

Have you ever gone to a concert hall that was so perfect that the sound and ambience pulled you into the music as though you were living within it? That is the experience the audience receives every time it listens to the Appleton Boys Choir, White Heron Chorale, or Lawrence University Symphany. Look for the announcements of recitals and concerts... More

Very pretty to view from the outside and artwork to see inside. I was more interested in the architecture so mostly circled the building taking pictures.

If you're looking for a small, scenic liberal arts college with small class sizes in a nice city near a nice river and a nice downtown area, you might want to take a look at Lawrence University. I just stayed at the motel except for one trip to see the WWII submarine on display approximately 50 miles from where we were staying.

We walked the LU campus and did not find anything detrimental. The small campus is a five minute walk from the older original shopping district of the town. Ideal for the student who does not want to feel isolated in an urban or sprawling college setting. We spent time in the student union having a coffee and felt very comfortable... More

Beautiful campus with trees and nice architecture. VERY friendly and I liked the lay out of the campus. Right on the edge of downtown Appleton, so students can easily walk everywhere. Wish I had known about it!

What a pretty campus! It's fall right now, and this campus looks like the classic university campus you'd see in a movie. Good enough just for a walk-through.

Small town atmosphere, next to downtown Appleton. Friendly campus, variety of social events, incredibly talented and welcoming students.
