Don't be conned into a trip to see this. If you go for a day trip into the jungle, you'll see it naturally. Don't pay extra money to see it.

We had read & heard about the Meeting of the Waters. It's a unique phenomenon that occurs due to the difference in acidity, temperature & speed of the 2 rivers: Negro & Solimoes (Amazon). We were on a river cruise & were glad we got to see this natural event.

It is pretty cool to see the rivers come together, but you will see very little wildlife in the area. I saw a few dolphins breech and that was pretty much it.
