I wanted to take this tour and contacted them with two separate emails separated by 2 weeks and did not receive a reply several weeks after my last email. Too bad i really wanted to do this trip after talking to previous owner several years ago. Just too slow, so have patience if u are trying to book.

I have read very good reviews about this company but it looks that Rinaldo, the great guide/manager everybody talks about, is no longer with them. I have emailed and called them several times to the contact info in their website but nobody responds. It would be very helpful to know if anybody has done this tour with Luiz or Erikes... More

Terrific paddling on the Urubu, agree with all the glowing reviews of those who got onto the river. Too bad for the Georgetown person who tried to bargain for a lower rate - you missed a great trip. We considered the fancy Amazon cruise, then switched to a river boat, and then figured in for a dime, in for a... More

From our first contact by email we have had excellent communication with Rinaldo. He responded promptly and let us know when he would be out on trips and unable to reply. A Skype to telephone call enabled us to ask all the questions we needed to make our decision to kayak on the Urubu. All the transport arrangements fell into... More

Well it seems like 5 stars is the only thing you can actually give this tour (if you have actually taken it). Rinaldo and the team are just the perfect guides to a magical tributary of the Amazon. The trip is just perfect for getting a small slice of Amazon wilderness - please remember that true wilderness means that you... More

While the trip itself looks amazing, I found Rinaldo to be unprofessional and downright rude while attempting to book the trip. When I asked if there was a discount for three people and proposed a rate less than the $3500 US for 3 days that he requested, he was very rude and unprofessional in response. The trip may be amazing,... More

What an adventure! Four of us headed out on the five-day kayak trip down the Urubu River, accompanied by Rinaldo and Nigel (English-speaking guides), Junior (our cook), and Pedro (the boat driver). The itinerary was pretty much as described on their website, so I won’t go into what we did each day. What I will say, which they don’t emphasize... More

My girlfriend and I are just back from a truly magical trip on the remote Urubu river. We were on a four day trip of 150km downstream kayaking with Amazon Mystery Tours. Doing the trip in four days is a bit stretched with quite a lot of paddling each day. A 5 or 6 day one would be more relaxed.... More

For the prepared person, this can be an absolutely amazing trip. We did the 3 day "adventure" kayaking tour, although the company offers day and speedboat trips, I can only really comment on the one we took. Each trip is organized individually, and Rhinaldo makes custom arrangements to meet your needs. It's hard to describe what it feels like, except... More

If you're looking for a 'canned', don't get your hands dirty kind of tour - then this is NOT the one for you. If you're looking for an authentic off the beaten path kind of tour - meaning no bathing for a week, sleeping in hammocks, walking through water and mud, kayaking the amazon, eating with chickens, pigs, etc, hiking...
