I love this beach in Maceio. It was the best one for me there. The beach is great to shower or surfing, is up to you. Just walk a little bit to find a right spot. I was in... read more

Nice beach with reefs outside, blocking waves, creating a good place for a swim with minors. Far to many beach sales "persons", and some becoming quite agressive if you refuse to buy or negotiate. Especially some lobster sellers were bad, returning repeatedly, and pushing hard to get a sell. Disgusting.

I love this beach in Maceio. It was the best one for me there. The beach is great to shower or surfing, is up to you. Just walk a little bit to find a right spot. I was in January, the beach was crowded but it fine. We can find Brazilians selling everything, but very respectful if you simply say... More

Praia do Frances gives you the opportunity of relaxing in calm waters where you can take your children and let them enjoy the experience of the sea.

It's a beach far from the city, with high waves which are good for surfing. The water is clean and warm.

From Salvador, BA northward, you have the best beach zone in the southern hemisphere, IMO. Maceio is no exception. Has a large natural reef offshore on most of the beaches, so you have pretty total wave break. Calm waters during the summer, warm, clear, clean, no major currents.

Nice view, clean beach, friendly staff, reasonable prices for the food, I would definitely go back there.

Water is gorgeous. Restaurants are right on the beach with plenty of carts with drinks, corn, etc. Go just off the beach to get less expensive food. I don't know that I would stay here for a vacation - especially with Maceio Proper down the road ..but it is a fun day trip!

This is a stop on the way to Gunga. It is nice to take a picture and check out the few shops behind the beach. 20 minutes are enough.

Absolutely lovely if everyone picked up their trash and disposed of it propertly. Cute stores in the area, a little over priced compared to big market in Fortelaza.
