Nice, with white sands and blue sea. The colour of the sea is wonderful. The most beautiful in the north-east side of the country.

Water is awesome, pretty calm and relatively clean. Lots of bars/restaurants on the beach. Areas both for people watching or for a little solitude. Police have little "outposts" around so is pretty safe. Don't like - further south of the beach is where all the local youngsters hang out, can be very load (music) and the smell of marijuana is... Excellent infrastructure with kiosks on the beach that function as restaurants with umbrellas, tables and chairs to enjoy the whole day on the beach.

Beautiful beach to walk along, stop for a beer along the many stands, admire the amazing turquoise-colored water, but unfortunately polluted and not recommended for swimming.

the water was a clean bluish green. the waves were soft and low. the beach in general wasn't packed. we found it real easy to chairs and a table. we also didn't have a lot of people swarming around pushing to sell stuff and other beaches in the area

This beach stretches out on a peninsula with Jatiuca on one side and the equally stunning Pajucara on the other. It's like a mini-Miami, with white pristine beaches, lovely coconut tree lined avenues and a fabulous prom with a seperate cycle lane. Walkers are already on it by 5am, often bumping into clubbers going home. Hangover cures are available from... More

A beautiful beach , the "downtown" of the beaches in Maceio , with lots of hotels, restaurants and people walking. Very nice view with the boats near the fisher men place, a sidewalk for the runners, bikes and etc, you can hire bikes. Busy always, good for a nice walk with a warm wind and a nice company preferably, to... More

I've travelled around a bit, and I feel darn sure when I say you just can't find this kind of beach in big cities! Maceió is about 1 million inhabitants, and is the Capital City of Alagoas state, and Ponta Verde Beach is located in the heart of the coastline of the city. Coral reefs just below the surface of...
