Calm and hot water. Some waves but nothing to worry about. You ccan go to Hibiscus. Safe and nice place to stay.

Not touristic. Nice to walk. View of the reef offshore, local fishermen, two hotels Residence Waterfront and Salinas, a few private homes. Some waves but safe to swim. Low and high tides change the way it looks during the day.

If is your first time at Maceió, go to the Hibiscus, a great option to spend your time - a day, at least. There is a fantastic beach in front of the restaurant. You will be at the sand, a few steps far from the sea, with many facilities available.

Ipioca Beach is not easy to reach if you are without a car but it is well worth the trek. I think this place needs to be cleaned by the government from dirty people, I went there with recommend of one of my friend who lives in Brasil, sao paulo and It was absolutelly a fiasco. But the place itself is very nice, not people ...
