If you are in Maceió, take a toruist tour or rent a car, but do not miss going to Gunga beach. Clear water, soft sand and coconut trees, lots of them Take the road to São Miguel dos Campos but turn left before getting there, direction Penedo. Left again at the top of a small hill, and you'll see the... More

When you go to Maceió, Brazil, be sure to visit Gunga Beach, and take a buggy ride up the falesias. It's very beautiful, a creation of Nature that fills our eyes of emotion.

Start at Barra do San Miguel, take a boat ride out to the reef, then (if it's low tide) onto the bar in the middle of the ocean and have a drink, then onto Gunga. Nice beach kind of like on a peninsula - one side open to the ocean, the other to a protected cove where the water is... More

Great place. Lots of restaurant and food option. Different activities available so you wont just sit in the sun all day. Beautiful view. Different from anything you will ever experience. Tip for getting there: roads not very well signaled but I bought a guided tour and it's great to learn more about the area and not worry about anything else.... More

I could say this is the best beach I have tried in Brazil. Its safe. No risk of crime or assault. Its a private beach with a 15 reais rate (7 dollars aprox.) Inside the beach lot of facilities. Restaurante. Boggie Tours on the Coast. If travelling to Maceió. You must go there. The only trouble is you must check... More

Great infraestructure, the sea was calm in the morning and you could enjoy swimming near the shore with no effort. There are many attractions there: Banana Boat, flight on a little plane, quadricycle and buggy for a fair price. I loved it!!

Without a thought one of my favourite beaches in Maceio. If you want you can be near the busy areas or you can walk a little more and be in a more private/quite setting. Just beautiful

Located about half-an-hour from Maceió, this is a stunning place. There are three kinds of beaches in the same place: a swimming pool like one, with absolutely no waves, one with calm safe waves, and one where things can go wilder (but not too wild). Everything is covered by coconut trees, and there are relatively good options for food and... More

This is a must. Inside and down a coconut tree plantation there is a this beautiful stretch of beach with waves on one side and with calm water on the side by a lagoon. A boat goes to the offshore reef and then it stops in the middle of the lagoon where there are two sand bars that look like... More
