This place is beautiful, as is the walk to it. We saw (and heard) frogs, grazing cows, sheep and goats on the way. There were only a few people there, we ate our packed lunch, loafed in the sun, read books and admired the beautiful water. We caught the local bus from serande there and back (to the nearby intersection... More

We went to Albania on a day trip from Corfu and visited Butrinti and the Blue Eye. It was amazing! The clear blue water bubbles from more than 50 metres down but averages at around 10 degrees so it is a bit cold for swimming; although people do! It is nice to paddle around in it when it is baking... More

I traveled with my husband (who is originally from Albania) and my sister in law. While it may be a bit difficult for travellers to find this place if they don't have a car, its well worth the trip. The spring itself is amazing, and the surrounding area is beautiful piece of nature. Its a very relaxing and calming expedition... More

I have never seen anything like this. It is said the water exceeds a depth of 50 metres. Very beautiful. Our group went in swimming but we could not understand why the locals just watched. Perhaps they thought us crazy to swim in ice old water. More

A nice cold spring, with very bright colours. You should go see it if you were passing by the small road going from Saranda to Gjirokaster. There was also a couple of restaurants nearby but we didn't try them. More

The most beautiful place I have ever been. A lovely ice cold pool beneath trees is a refreshing change from the hot climate. The water is so clear I filled up a bottle and drank it. We also paddled in the edge of it and it was so cold but gorgeous! Wonderful views and the bus ride up there was... More
