To eco a previous reviewer, when we arrived it was so quiet we thought it was closed! This meant that the queues for rides and attractions were minimal (particular after the hectic visit to Universal Studios the previous week). Compared to UK theme parks the entrance fee was really reasonable. I actually think my 4 year old was free and... More

We were very confused when we arrived at Space World at 11am as it appeared that none of the rides were running and there were very few people around. However, when we got inside we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of rides and the scariness of them - and most importantly there were barely any queues whatsoever! We are... More

We visited one day when it was a little cold and some patchy rain. Hence there were not many people there that day. Some of the rides were not open at first due to the weather, but as time went on and the weather cleared these rides were opened up. Some of the rides are super fast and a little... More

This is worth visiting if you enjoy amusement parks, roller coasters etc. We also went to Tokyo Disney and liked Space world better. It is less crowded, cheaper and with its own train station access is excellent. Make sure you check times as it is not always open in winter. Also if you have time the Kyushu railway Museum is... Small but fun theme park. Some decent roller coasters however one of the main rides was off although it was still a fun day, be warned the Japanese love to build up each ride so queues can take a little time but we got through all the main rides. Its about a 10minute walk from the nearest JR station. I'd... More

It's the only theme park in Kyushu and if you can't make it to Disney Tokyo, it's a good place to get your thrills in. The roller coasters are pretty good. It also has an ice skating rink that's open year round. I recommend getting an annual pass--on the English website it doesn't show it, but in Japanese, it's called... More
