I went yesterday,a weekday.The hydrangeas are at their peak.The ones in full sun were slightly past their peak. The irises were completely finished. It is off the beaten track and there weren't many people.I was the only Westerner. I saw the hydrangeas at Hakone today and I prefer Hondoji. There are a lot of maples so it is probably nice... More

We went in June. Whilst we could see the potential of the place, the plants were not in full bloom, perhaps falling foul to the heavy rain. We were left with only the husk of blooming plants, it made me think that they should not have charged the entry fee if the main attractions ( the flowers) are not in... More
