They boast over 100 years of combined experience in the islands, over 4100 days with the whales, and have led excursions for over 80,000 satisfied customers. « less

Great people who do their best to assure each trip to be successful while maintaining the integrity of the whale watching experience. We were fortunate to enjoy all three pods playing and performing for us! Fabulous!

Loved the trip from Everett, WA. The captain and the naturalist/photographer were excellent on the guided tour. The boat was comfortable, food available. We got to see 4 gray whales, one California sea lion, eagles, cormorants, and a fantastic display by the whales.

The first time we had ever gone whale watching was with Island Adventures and we had a wonderful time. So when we wanted to go again there was no question about who we would go with. Their boats are clean and look very well taken care of. The staff has always been very friendly. They really go out of their... More

#3 on my "bucket list" is whale watching and my husband helped me check it off the list! Amazing, Awesome and Absolutely Unforgettable!! Beautiful day, many gray whales appeared to be there just for our entertainment! Eagles, loons, sea lions and more. Very well worth the trip, book on line and find many ways to save money. The boat has... More

Thank you so much for all your kind words in this review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your Gray whale trip with us. We do have two different naturalists that are also professional photographers. They do often sell some of their photos at the end of their tours, but this does not happen on every trip. The best... Took my husband, grown daughter, a 4 ur old and my 8 ur old granddaughter who just happened to be a study of the forgotten Minkis. The day trip was a beautiful and wonderful experience for us all. A little pricey on Nanas pocket book but the yacht we were on was all too well worth it. Definitely first class... More

We saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife on our trip! It was an overcast day which is actually better for spotting whales than a sunny day. We saw several Minke whales. The do not bring their tail out of the water but do have a nice curve in their body when they surface. The crew is very knowledgable and taught... More

Makes a great one-day trip from Seattle metro area. I went on a trip in June 2013 and saw dozens of Orca whales in the wild. Don't really need to say anything more about whales. Great activity for family or guests visiting from out of town. The large boat was comfortable, had restrooms and had refreshments available for sale, and... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Island Adventures. There was a very good point made in the review about dressing warm. This is so very true. We suggest to everyone to wear/bring layers (long pants, sweatshirt, jackets) even on the warmest of days. The air temperature does vary anywhere from 10 - 20 degrees cooler on the water... More

These folks have a network of spotters for sea-life and really know where it is and can tell you the facts about all the species. Worth the money. Recommend you bring your own food and drink (and binoculars).

We went out to see whales yesterday, with a 6 year old, 2 year old, and 5 month old. We have well behaved kids but worried it'd be too much, especially when they asked if anyone had a reason why we shouldn't pursue a whale further and return late. The trip was over 7 hours, but everyone had a blast!... More
