We pride ourselves as being one of the most experienced and dedicated whale-watching companies in Washington. Because of our very high success rate, Island Adventures was one of the first and only companies to guarantee whale sightings on every tour - but it's our team of highly qualified crew that will make your trip unforgettable! They boast over 100 years of combined experience in the islands, over 4100 days with the whales, and have led excursions for over 80,000 satisfied customers.

My wife and I have taken several Island Adventures whale watching tours and have always had a great time, seen lots and lots of critters above and below the ocean. The crew on each of our cruises have been very knowledgeable and eager to please. We've been lucky to have seen whales on every cruise - only once did we... More

I had the pleasure of spending the day upon the Island Explorer. Captain Carl, Brook and Sara were our crew for the day and they were so outgoing and informative. We were lucky enough to see 2 orcas within the first hour of the tour. We continued to watch their behavior and follow them. It was very exciting to have... More

We had a great time on our whale watching tour with Island Adventures. All four of the crew members on board were great and made the trip very enjoyable. After a long 2 hours of hunting, we finally came upon what we were all waiting for, ORCAS! Not only did we find one of the resident pods, but we were... More

My husband, sister, her husband and myself were so excited to go on our first whale watching tour. We were bummed that we did not get to see any whales :( BUT and that's a big BUT.... we had a spectacular time and the trip was guaranteed. Brook was the perfect guide and we received so much great information as... More

We took the tour April 20th and it was a gorgeous sunny warm day. Within 20 minutes of leaving the harbor were came upon the J pod of orcas. Around 20 whales, oldest was 'granny' at 104 plus several babies. We probably observed them for a good 90 minutes before moving on to find others. We witnessed breaches, cartwheels, tail... More

We enjoyed seeing the orcas, but it sure would have been nice not to hear crew talking on the microphone so much while we were with the whales!! We all agreed that it interrupted our enjoyment of the experience. Maybe you could focus on talking about the whales before and after we experience them instead.

I went on a whale watching tour, didn't see a whale. We got free vouchers to come back, we did and saw a bunch of whales. Awesome experience both times. Crew was always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Island Adventures!

We saw nothing for 90 min and then, 1/2 way into the trip we "saw" grey whales 400ft away. Though far away, there was little to see; yet the tour guide hyped up our siting repeatedly saying we were so lucky we should go to the casino that night. Actually there was little to see - a bitty spray from... More

Notice this is the only response that we've been this critical of the reviewer. We're not being defensive – we're just confused. Island Adventures has been voted the #1 whale watch company in Washington state for the past 5 years. Guests choose our company because guests have a passion to see whales in their natural habitat. That's why we understand... More
