Climb a path at the end of the paved trail behind the gazebo to exposed basalt outcroppings to see a panorama of Fidalgo Bay, Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, and across the Sound to the San Juans and beyond. Breath-taking, especially at sunrise or sunset!

Drive or walk till the end of this hill and you'll have the best view of Anacortes, the refineries and Fidalgo bay! No restrooms or benches or areas for kids, just a great place to take beautiful pictures!

For a small city (15,000 population), Anacortes has many fine sights for the visitor. While not as spectacular as the views of Mt. Erie Park, Cap Sante gives the visitor of what is the waterfront of Anacortes must have been like during the heyday of the lumbar industry.

This is an out-of-the-way place for hikers and people wanting to take breath taking photos. Make sure to go when it's NOT raining, unless you are dressed for it. The view alone is worth finding this place. If you are not from the area, be sure and find it, just for the view!

A winding road takes you up to a view over the harbor and out into bay. A really nice little side trip, maybe on your way to or from lunch one day.

Take a lunch/snack and enjoy warm Southerly views over Anacortes and beyond. This is another little treasure with ample parking within city limits. No toilets.

Great for a beautiful walk. Dog friendly! Park has a number of moderate hiking trails. Loop road can be driven and has plenty of parking at several different viewpoints.

Headed over to this small park as we heard it has a great view. Quick drive from downtown, it's not exactly a park, rather a high rocky area overlooking the town and water. A nice place to sit back and enjoy the view, wish we had brought a picnic. Nowhere for younger children to play, and it is pretty steep... More
