We went to this viewpoint early in the morning and the views to the south and east of the Cascades and nearby Islands were beautiful. Don't go there expecting to see the San Juan Islands, too many trees in the way.

It's a long winding road to the top of the mountain, but once you get there, the view is well worth it. This has got to be the best view point in Anacortes. We're glad we went.

The view from Mt. Erie is the best on Fidalgo Island. There are three fantastic view areas. At the top, the Whidbey Island view goes from the base of Mt Erie, to all the lakes and bays, down Whidbey and out into Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mts. The other viewpoint at the top looks toward Mt. Baker and... More

If you don't have time for an all day experience in one of the beautiful forests in Washington, make the drive to the top of Mount Erie. The switchback road to the top of the mountain winds through a dense forest and ground green with thousands of ferns. The same fern I cannot keep alive in my own home. Keep... More

Nice drive up and a great view once you arrive. Pretty steep getting up there. Might be a bit steep to ride on a bike.

If you want a breathtaking view, make the drive up to the top of Mt. Erie! There are trails, handrails, and viewing points all around the top. There is a stillness that calms as you take in the magnificent views. Definitely worth the drive.

This is definitely the best place to go if you want great views of the Pacific Northwest landscape. You can either hike up one of the trails from the bottom or drive right to the top. On a clear day you Mount Baker, Three Fingers, Whitehorse and Mount Rainier are all visible, in addition to the beautiful San Juan Islands.... More

In about a 1.5 mile winding drive you ascend 1300 ft to the best view of Fidalgo Island. This seems to be a popular place with the rock climbers.

Someone in the area recommended I visit this spot. I was so glad I did. The clouds parted and the sun came out! The view from the Mountain is breath-taking. You can even see the tulip and daffodil fields. I was fortunate to be visited by 2 bald eagles! It doesn't get much better than that!

I loved this spot. I visited it twice during my two day stay at Mt. Erie. The amazing view of Lake Campbell,Mount Baker and the million dollar properties along the lake are worth a look from the View gallery. The approach to the mountain top is a bit windy but it wil worth every effort. Just sit on one of... More
