Great view

Good experience to have 360 view of city and bays surround the city. Also ability to look at different ecosystems. Long drive up steep winding hills so requires skillful driver.

It is an interesting drive to the top of Mount Erie but the views are worth your time. If you are in to hiking there are many trails on Mount Erie ... you can start from the bottom or from several places on the drive to the top.

It is possible to drive at the top, but there are a few parking places. Views are fantastic - islands, lakes and sea.

Went up to Mt. Erie for sunset and the sky and weather did not disappoint. Found the west facing viewpoint and watched the sun disappear behind the San Juan Islands and slowing into the Pacific. Just watch your step.

Family drove up to the top and walked to lookout for Mount Baker. Excellent view and sensational pine scent! Also, went out on the overlook opposite Mount Baker and it was very pretty. Could see the lakes below and saw folks repelling nearby.

Many scenic vistas from this high point. Great walking with plenty of large rocks and boulders. We enjoyed our visit here.

You could walk up, but we have always driven to the top of Mt. Erie to experience the spectacular views of the Skagit Valley, San Juan Islands, and Cascades/Mt. Baker. If you do visit, be aware that cars are often prowled up there.

This is one of the best places to get a great view of the Islands and Anacortes. On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainier. Great place to have a picnic while enjoying the view, No picnic tables, but great flat rocks.!
