We hiked up, but you can also drive up, to see the gorgeous panoramic views. Great picture taking opportunity here!

A steep drive up but worth it. You can see all around. Anacortes, Campbell Lake, the sound. And there are nice trails to several lakes that you can do. A great way to get oriented to the area if this is a first visit.

We were looking for a short hike around Anacortes and went for Mt. Erie. You have to go through several connecting trails which can definitely get confusing without a map. Purchase one at locations around town (or take a picture of the map at the trail head with your phone). The trails were pretty steep off and on as well... More

The panoramic view from the top of Mount Erie is worth the steep, short drive up. The small park is well maintained except for the road.

The views from the top of this Park are fantastic. You can see the various islands surrounding Fidalgo Island. Also plan to visit Cap Sante in Anacortes for more water level views. The City of Anacortes owns the Park and enables the visitor to see views which are absolutely beautiful

The road is not totally well maintained and although passable I wouldn't recommend large vehicles as it could get tricky.

You can drive to the top of Mount Erie for viewpoints in three directions. Look down on the eagles as they soar below you over the lakes and sound looking toward Whidbey Island. Look over the tulip fields in Skagit Valley toward Mount Baker and see the San Juan Islands looking west. On our last visit it was a totally... More

Went here with my bride of 26 years for a view that can't be beat. Not over done or touristy in any way.

This unique mountain in Anacortes, WA is on an island itself and has a number of enhanced and safe views that capture almost all 4 directions. Worth the drive and several hiking trails traverse the mountain as well.

Great views of Anacortes, the islands toward Friday harbor and south along Whidbey Island. It is the best way to see the San Juans without getting in a boat. The only drawback is it isn't that easy to find the road up or the view points. My best advice is to "fly" over with Google Maps.
