There are several nice viewing spots from the top of Mount Erie. There is no charge to enter the park and it is an easy drive up the small mountain.

Drove up to the top to see the views and then hiked lower down. Quite challenging climbs but the trails are well marked and easy to follow. Lots of people around, which showed its popularity. A good outing.

After a few miles of a very twisty road, you come upon a parking area at the top where cars are parked helter-skelter. From there you walk some distance in a couple of different directions to get to viewing areas that either look north or south. The day we visited, the sky was clear and you could almost swear that... This is well worth the visit even if you don't have a lot of time and we were visiting just before sunset at 9:15 pm (in July). The best view once you park (for free) at the top is the path by the cell towers. This gives you the view to the south where you can see Lake Campbell and... More

After driving to the top and finding the views obscured by the tall evergreens, we stopped at several overlooks with spectacular views. Worth the time to get an overview before going on a whale watching trip.

Well worth the drive. Once at the top the views of the Island are gorgeous, you can see, from several look out spots, many of the San Juan islands

We drove up to the top and parked near the washroom. Walk across the street and a short walk for panoramic views of the surrounding area. It will take yourbreath away. We also saw many Eagles soaring all around. There is another overlook down stairs over to the left of the parking but the views are blocked a bit by... More

Wonderful drive and forest atmosphere yet close to Anacortes. Breath taking view at top. Hiking, climbing or drive to the top. As photographer, one of my fav places to sit and take in the scenery. If a clear day, can see miles into Mt Baker north end or Mt Rainier south end. Rocky hillside gives a great backdrop for photos.

Wonderful view of Anacortes and the surrounding area from this pinnacle! Steep slopes for climbing and paths for hiking. Great. Natural beauty.
