Classes and fun

Staff is friendly and helpful. It is nice to have such caring instructors for beginner skaters in their classes.

I would give this 5 if the place were a a bit cleaner. I shrug at the bathrooms but as for the rink(s) they are good. Not as cold as it is in Reston and nice with The pizza place and store right in the same building.

The Ashburn Ice House is our home rink. My daughter skates 12+ hours a week. The ice is consistent and the coaching staff outstanding. The only draw back can be the crowds. Between hockey and the occasional surface outage, the free skate sessions can get crowded (but there are limits). There are better pro shops for figure skaters, but we... More

My visit to the icehouse was wonderful! it's not too expensive. After skating around during free skate it made me really want to join their figure skating team I'm not very good but it made me really want to learn! Some of the not so good things would be that the hockey players skate really really fast around people that... More

Disappointed at the very rough crowd here on teen night - Fridays. Kids were fresh and playing knockout, shoving our group of teens down one at a time for fun. Ashburn ice House If you plan to run a teen night- where parents are allowed to drop kids off- get a security guard or more adult supervision near the ice... More

Good hockey programs, fun place to hang out with family. Rink gets very busy on weekend open skates however. Other than that, love it!

We recently visited this ice rink for my son's hockey tournament. I didn't care for the way their bleachers were set up. The parents from both teams were sitting all together which sometimes causes problems. Other then the seating, this rink was pretty nice.

Located in Ashburn, Virginia, the Ice House is the top indoor ice rink in Northern Virginia. With 2 large indoor surfaces it has more than ample space for the entire family. There are lots of activities to take part in. They have free skate periods throughout the week as well as hockey league play for all ages. They also offer... More

The coaches at the camp were not very responsive and helpful for kids new to the sport. Would not recommend for any new hockey players, maybe a different experience for non-rookies

Overall, the Ashburn Ice House is a nice facility with plenty of seating, convenient dining and restrooms, and a unique atmosphere. The biggest issue is how they handle emergencies that occur in their facility. We were there for a hockey tournament this weekend and a member of our family got hurt during the game, laying motionless on the ice. The... More
