If you want a great meal, see a movie, and even grab a drink or shoot some pool this is a great place to visit. The shops are cute and there are plenty of things to do.

Great date spot with a village atmosphere. So many restaurant cuisines to choose from, and a choice of 7 theater venues.( Independents, international included in the film variety). Easy access off Shirley Memorial Hwy.

A delightful attempt to bring the best of the American small town within reach of downtown Washington,DC, the Village at Shirlington should not be missed when touring the nations's capital. A main street of two blocks right off I-395 joins together restaurants, shops and bars for a place for a lovely stroll. There is even a movie theatre, a live theatre... More

I was very surprised to find our hotel that we stayed at right at the end of the Village at Shirlington. Lines with restaurants and a few small shops, we had lunch and dinner options every day in addition to the hotel restaurant.

I've been to the Shirlington Village on four occasions and every time it gets better. This is a great place to hang out or spend a day. It stretches about three blocks and offers a wide range of really good restaurants from the Blue Sea to a Johnny Rockets. better! The village has a hotel (Hilton Garden Inn), a movie... More

Great little area that has a lot of special events. Check their website. Countless restaurants with all types of cuisine and little shops. They also have a movie theater, library and grocery store.

Great restaurants, and most have outdoor seating (weather permitting). The annual octoberfest is a can't miss event.

We have and are still enjoying a jaunt down the street anytime of the year. Business fronts are attractive; streets and sidewalks clean. Trees and other seasonal decorations abound to delight. Seasonal outdoor dining is pleasant and walkers are not unduly intrusive. Seasonal festivals are offered for the enjoyment of touring visitors, local business folks or residents. Parking is plentiful... More

This is a great location with restaurants, a nice market for picking up snacks, food, and drink. Restaurants to meet all appetites. There's a wonderful Cinema showing Indy films along with popular films. There are also performances at the local theater. A great location close with easy access to the I-395 to head into D.C.

There are great places to eat, especially with large groups and small children. The shops are diverse and fun. Only problem is that parking is difficult.
