Great winery. Happy and interesting employees who care about their product, like to explain their wines, and provide very good service to customers. Very good wines.

We had been by many times, but they always seemed to be closed when we drove by, so we stopped in today (July 4th). They were moderately busy, but still had time to welcome us and provide us with a complimentary tasting, as they were offering them for free since it is July 4th. We really enjoyed their Victorian Red,... More

The Kellert family puts their heart and soul into this winery and it shows in their exceptional award winning red and white wines, warm friendly greeting, the inviting tasting room and their willingness to engage you in wine conversation. There are comfortable seating areas inside and out so you can enjoy a glass of wine any time of the year.... More

It is a beautiful ride up route 211 to the winery, especially during the springtime. The wine tasting was very informative. We bought a bottle of the white table wine and went upstairs and sat outside on the patio. The trees were in full bloom. They don't offer much food, just cheese and crackers, so I suggest you bring your... More

Gray Ghost has a good number of wines that I loved, and when we walked in there was little to the imagination and a very quick less than 10 minute tasting. We didn't expect a sit down extravaganza, but its not worth driving far too if its the only place you intend to go. Plan to visit other wineries to... More

If you enjoy a beautiful drive out in the country and love amazing, delicious wines then this is a place to visit for a few hours! All the wines that are all created from this vineyard are from grapes grown on site. The grounds are well kept and attractive, with plenty of quiet spots to take pleasure in. Inside, upstairs... I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this winery. I always enjoy discovering new wineries in VA, especially those who produce excellent wines. A friend invited a group of us out (typical 30 somethings, some couples some singles, but all friends) and even arranged a tour with the owner. This is a small, family owned business and we felt very welcomed.... More

We did a quick tasting and took home a bottle of white wine. It's right off the main road. They didn't appear to have any food to order. Service was good. It has a historical vibe to it. This is a family- owned winery and everyone was very nice.
