We stopped into the Gray Ghost Winery as we were passing through the area on a Saturday afternoon. As with many other Virginia wineries, samples of a few wines can be had for a nominal fee. The service during our tasting was fine and the wines were drinkable. But, neither the service, wines, nor the facilities really stood out. The... More

After a day of zip lines, Distillery, and restaurants, stopped in as we had always wanted to visit and sample...great wines, beautiful location and very informative staff. Left with a case of delicious whites, will be back!

This property is one of the prettiest in the county. Wines are always good, no matter what is being poured. Their special events are always a treat as well and can be found on their website. Al and Cheryl Kellert are wonderful hosts!

We were very impressed with the entire selection of wines from Gray Ghost. Of particular note are their Chambourcin and Chardonnay, and their upstairs lounge is a cozy place to relax and enjoy your favorites.

This was a great winery to visit. The tasting was very generous - we were able to taste 9 wines. They were all excellent and we ended up buying a case. The people explaining the wines were very knowledgeable. They had a wonderful shop with all kinds of fun things to buy. The grounds were beautiful and they had a... More

Took a tour with a friend and the owner. Fascinating place, super nice and down home type people. Will return when I get a chance. Recommend.

I have been to this winery regularly since dang near its inception, and my wife and I remember saying in the early days--"some day, they'll be worth the drive." True enough now, as our families have been intertwined for several years. The past 10 Christmases have been spent here visiting Santa and enjoying their wines and other functions. My in-laws... Nice old house with some outside areas to sit. Did not feel extremely welcome there. We started our tasting and then someone else came in and the women serving us went immediately to help that person without saying anything to us. The other person who took over continue four tasting, but that experience left us feeling a little taken for... More
