Come here to see The Aces!

It's so heartwarming to see these college baseball top athletes compete each summer in the Cal Ripken league. Tickets are only $1 on Mondays, $5 other times. The athletes spend... read more

Recently took my daughter to Great Waves Waterpark on a hot and sunny day. Anti-climatic at best. Understand we are not a Disney, but don't waste your money. Wave pool is small and crowded with limited number of tubes. The slides take an inordinate amount of time for the minimal lines. After and hour my 8 year old was ready... More

Another Northern Virginia Regional Park, Cameron Run is a terrific spot for the entire family on a summer day. The Great Waves section is very exciting with its constant ebb and flow of water as well as the numerous slides that spill into the basin. The batting cages are open for baseball players (and fans) who want to sharpen their... More

It's so heartwarming to see these college baseball top athletes compete each summer in the Cal Ripken league. Tickets are only $1 on Mondays, $5 other times. The athletes spend the summer playing ball as they are hosted by local families in their homes. They play their hearts out, and some in fact do go on to play in the... More

we love Great Waves at the Cameron Run Regional Park...it's our beach in the 'hood...an oasis nestled between I-95 and the CSX railroad tracks. The facility has a large wave pool and an astro-turfed "beach" surrounding the pool. A great respite on the weekends during the summer. The facility fills-up quickly on the weekends...get there early to ensure entrance. The... More

Not as busy as some with bikers and strollers so a real find for a quiet peaceful walk. We go whenever we are in the area so at least every couple of weeks.

I got a groupon deal 16$ for 4 after 4pm. On arriving from the Main Street we didn't see a sign "great waves waterpark" so we passed it. The sign just has Cameron run park on it. Unless we missed seeing the waves park sign. Had no issues with parking. Parking is free. Didn't have any issues using my coupon.... More

If you go, go early. We did and we had a blast. Bring your own food and leave it in the car. The line for the ONE food building is horrendous. The intertubes were free of charge, but finding one not in use became more and more difficult as the day wore on. The slides had long lines that moved... More

The Great Waves water park is great for young ones and older crowd. Although younger kids 4-9 yrs old looked like they were having a great time than anyone else. The snack shack can be improved big time. The menu is not that great, they have a burger called "bug kahuna" there is nothing big about it! Service is too... More

Yesterday, I went with my fiance to Great Waves. It was pretty busy around noon, but we were able to grab what looked like the last deck chairs. It seemed to be mostly families with little kids there, but there were other couples there as well. The park was kept very clean, which was impressive. They had some cute shops... More

This is a northern VA run park- not a huge private amusement park. The water park section has a wave pool, a toddler wading area, a small water area with two slides for kids in the 4-5 range, and then 4 larger slides for kids over 4 feet. There is also a sand play area and a playground area. There... More
