Great place for the kids!

The Great Waves water park is great for young ones and older crowd. Although younger kids 4-9 yrs old looked like they were having a great time than anyone else. The snack shack can be improved big time. The menu is not that great, they have a burger called "bug kahuna" there is nothing big about it! Service is too... More

Yesterday, I went with my fiance to Great Waves. It was pretty busy around noon, but we were able to grab what looked like the last deck chairs. It seemed to be mostly families with little kids there, but there were other couples there as well. The park was kept very clean, which was impressive. They had some cute shops... More

This is a northern VA run park- not a huge private amusement park. The water park section has a wave pool, a toddler wading area, a small water area with two slides for kids in the 4-5 range, and then 4 larger slides for kids over 4 feet. There is also a sand play area and a playground area. There... More

Went to the great waves park yesterday and had a great time with friends and family. We were earlier contemplating on going to the water mine in Reston but this was a better value for money...the wave pool was superb and we spent most of the time between 6 to 8 ft which is never crowded...Pla refrain from that if... We purchased a LivingSocial deal for the whole family and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on our summer vacation. We avoided the crowds by going on a weekday. My kids are 6,7, and 14 and I told them I used to come here as a child and it was called "Cameron Run Park" back then and it only had the wave pool... More

I thought this place was a little pricey for the lack of activities. The wave pool was small, and there were only a few other water slides and attractions.

Well, this is a difficult view to write, as I remember Cameron Run in its heyday. I used to go here often as a kid and I loved the wave pool and the slides! The park consists of a mini-golf course, that you can pay separately to use, a wave pool, a kiddie pool, and several very long water slides.... More

The wave pool was nice, but the place was truly worn down. The refreshment stand offered only unhealthy options. The lifeguard staff seems to be of a different quality than the food-service staff, who truly didn't seem to care about the icky sticky floor and the long line. They had a huge crowd, so some customers are definitely happy. The... More

Running right next to the Capital Beltway Interstate 495 you can't hear yourself think, but it also has Great Waves swim park there in summer. That is a good time for the kids.
