I took the roundtrip from Georgetown to Alexandria. While out on the water, I noticed some of the other tour companies. I was afraid that one boat wasn't going to make it, so I was happy to be aboard a PRC craft.

This was a 2 hour round trip cruise between DC and Alexandria VA. Very economical fare. Could get off at Alexandria and walk around before returning. Nice view of the monuments and good narration.

The boat trip was 30 mins. and the cabin had great AC. This is hard to fine in Alexandria. Old buildings are hard to cool. Parking is tough and a lot parking is a must for any boat ride. Roadside parking is 2 hours max.

This was our first visit to the DC area and we were staying in Alexandria. We didn't have a car and this was a great way to get to Mount Vernon and see the Potomac all in one trip. The speaker did an excellent job explaining what we were seeing and we didn't have any problems hearing him. We arrived... More

The boat ride was nice and relaxing, the tour from the boat was interesting. Mount Vernon was beautiful and the time aloud before the boat returned was enough to explore plenty.

The boar tour was relaxing and interesting a gave us a new way to see some monuments and the natural beauty of the area. The boat appeared to be in good shape and well maintained all though showing its age. Seeing the area by water gives a unique view of both monuments, bridges and the wildlife, we saw an eagles... I wasn't up to walking or driving into Washington DC from Alexandria, VA. The river tour was a great way to see the monuments from a distance (Washington, Lincoln, Kennedy Center) and some other sites described over the ship's GPS-triggered tour guide descriptions. It was a leisurely ride from Alexandria to Georgetown; if I'd had time I would have stayed... More

This is a pleasant way to get back and forth to Washington's home at Mt. Vernon. The Alexandria dock area is a nice area with shops and restaurants to enjoy before or after the cruise.

The boats are pretty basic but they are quite comfortable, and have restrooms, and coolers on board with water and soft drinks. The tour is recorded so there is no-one to ask questions of but, especially if you get the one-way boat to or from Old Town, it makes for a lovely transportation option. Highly recommended if you have any... More

We took this cruise for something different that didn't involve walking for a change. Loved the narrated boat ride, and it is always nice to see a city from the water - whole different view! WE could see the Capitol in the distance, the Washington and Lincoln memorials (Lincoln was on the backside however), Kennedy Performing Arts Center, Watergate, etc.... More
