Good transportation and convenient

Good way to get around DC. Better than land taxis. Reasonably priced. Only drawback is the first time isn't until 1115am.

Yesterday evening my wife and I along with some good friends had dinner reservations in Georgetown. Instead of driving or taking a taxi we opted for the water taxi that runs from Oldtown, Alexandria to the Georgetown waterfront. It's a 45 minute ride each way at a cost of $54 for two round trip, and a nice change from the... More

Our tour started in Alexandria and went to Georgetown and back. It was magnificent seeing the monuments and the city all lit up. We took a 7:30 pm tour and paid $24 group rate. We were back to Alexandria at 9:30. Well worth it !

Great way to see the harbor and go over to the National Harbor. I took the boat on a Saturday night - not many others on it. Great video playing on the history of Alexandria I learned a lot. Relaxing ride.

A pleasant, affordable, and interesting way to take a look at Washington DC. Reagan Airport was busy, and it's thrilling to see jets arriving and departing. The minuments at night are a well-lit sight. The top deck gives you a great place for photos. There are a few snacks and drinks for purchase aboard. A trip to Georgetown and back... More

Wonderful, informative 1.5 hour ride up the Potomac to Mt Vernon. Crew was friendly and the trip went by quickly. May try the Bike and Ride option next time. Mt Vernon is a must-see. Order your tickets online and go to the ticket kiosk behind the Torpedo factory. Kiosk looks like it's just for the water taxi but it's for... More

We ordered our tickets for the boat trip on line. The price was $42 each. The boat trip takes about an hour and 1/2. When you arrive at the dock there is a shuttle to take you to Mt. Vernon. The tour is brief due to the house being rather small and a never ending line to go through it.... More

We were on vacation, staying in Old Town, and took the Potomac Riverboat Company's baseball boat over to the game. The boat leaves from the dock behind the Torpedo Factory Art Center an hour before the game, drops you off right at Nationals Park, and then heads back twenty minutes after the game ends; there are soft drinks, beer, and... Was looking for a way to see the key sights and enjoy nature at the same time. The water monuments cruise fit the bill. I had a good time and would do the cruise again. Here are my positives and negatives, leveraging what others have mentioned. Pros: * It was wonderful being out on the actual Potomac River. There was... More
