Our Food Tours have been carefully developed to create a striking harmony between a neighborhood’s local cuisine, history, and architecture. The food served at each establishment accurately reflects their house specialties while staying true to the area’s culinary history. We took the Old Alexandria Walking Food Tour with our guide Ada who was amazing. She was very informative and personable. The pace was perfect and the food was delicious. This was the perfect way to learn a little more about a great city with so much American history. More

I contacted DC Metro Food Tours by email several weeks before travelling from Australia to the USA on holidays. Our contact person Mallory was fantastic and organised a private tour, as we were not there on the regular tour days. Pam our guide was amazing on our Capitol Hill Tour, with so much local knowledge, and general knowledge of Washington... More

I went on the Old Town Alexandria food tour with my wife and it was great! We loved touring the city and learning about the history - seeing homes where George Washington lived was really cool. We stopped at four places for appetizers, main courses, and dessert, and all the food was really good and had a nice variety. Finally,... More

We were really hoping for a great time on this tour through Old Town Alexandria. The walk around town was enjoyable, and we appreciated the guide's enthusiasm. There isn't that much food served, so we left hungry. We'd easily forgive that if the food was outstanding, but the food was lackluster at best, and in some cases outright bad. Bilbo... More

My wife and I took the Food Tour in Old Town Alexandria VA with friends from Colorado. Our Tour was on Sunday Dec. 4, 2011, started promptly at 1:00pm, and lasted about three hours Our guide, Ted, was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. At the start, Ted asked if we had any type of food allergies. We went to three... More

This is a gentle walking tour with a lot of history of Alexandria thrown in. Lots of fun to stroll along brick sidewalks past historical sites and homes. We stopped at 4 restaurants during the tour where you go inside and are served at a table. The restaurants are called before our arrival, so they are prepared and waiting for... More

The Annapolis Food Tour was fabulous! A group of girlfriends came to visit for the weekend for a mini H.S. reunion and this tour was perfect. A little bit of history and trivia, exercise, and absolutely delightful food tastings, including local Maryland favorites. We started with kona coffee and ended with a British tea and dessert, with samplings of popovers,... More

Dina was a great tour guide, giving us the right mix of history and pubs. She offered great insight into the Old Town and entertained us with games while we enjoyed our drinks. A great way to spend an evening. More

I went on the tour on a beautiful weekend day in November. Our tour guide, Ted, was awesome. He was a history teacher by trade, and it showed. He knew a lot about the city, the area, the architecture. He answered all of my pestering questions. The food was really quite good, and I appreciated the fact that each location... More

My husband and I tried the old town alexandria tour today. It is a walking tour combined with brief history lessons about the town and many of it's very old buildings. I really enjoyed the first 3 courses, but the dessert was disappointing. It is served in a tea shop that barely has a place to sit. I'd recommend that... More
