We were a group of 10 up for a couples weekend of golf and wine from Richmond. This winery was beautiful with the grapes literally hanging down over you as you walked into the winery. We enjoyed some cheese and crackers as we sampled several bottles. Even ran into some friends from home and left with more bottles. A must... More

Our visit to Veritas today (8-17-14) was a big hit with us! The beauty and serenity of the vineyard and its buildings and the public areas hold their own to any match of the vineyards we have visited in Napa Valley in California. We have tried a few of the other vineyards in the Charlottesville area over the past several... More

Absolutely beautiful!! The grounds are amazing. Quiet, country setting with seating outdoors or take your blanket and sit anywhere. Tasting room is beautiful and unique. I'm not a wine drinker, but went with a friend that is, I actually enjoyed the tasting though. $7 for a wine tasting (I think it was about 8 wines) and you get the glass.

Stopped here first on a tour of the nearby wineries. What a great place! Really set the bar high! The tasting room was beautiful, and the grounds were as well. Got to taste many wines, and enjoyed them all.

I've been to a few vineyards and have often had FREE tastings, I was so disappointed to hear $7 to taste, I would totally have bought a bottle of wine IF they would let me taste for free so walked away.............lovely place for weddings - gorgeous views and property.........but seriously you can't afford to give may 3 tastes then charge???

This is a lovely winery with great views and very good wine. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and there was a server (forget his name unfortunately) that made an excellent suggestion of a red wine to pair with ribs we were going to have for dinner. It was amazing how perfect the 2 went together. This is a great place... More

I enjoyed our visit to Veritas, the grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed spending time with some friends there. There were plenty of places to sit and lounge on the grounds without it being rushed, or feeling like you had to "move on". I also thought the person conducting the tasting was knowledgeable and pleasant, without the "bougie" descriptions of... More

We went to Veritas today, for the first time in several years. The setting is lovely, and a perfect place to sit outside with a glass of wine and relax. The tasting room was very crowded (summer Saturday) and there was a long line that appeared to be waiting for a tasting. There was a smaller line to one tasting... More

We were invited to a pre-wedding celebration for friends and family at Veritas. The weather was beautiful and we drank wine and socialized on the large porch outside the tasting room. The Viognier was our favorite wine, and that of many other guests. The Rosé was a little dry for our taste. The Sauvignon Blanc was also a little drier... More

My husband and I visit this vineyard fairly frequently as we live about an hour south. We love it for a cool spring/fall afternoon excursion with beautiful views of the mountains and sweeping fields where you can sit on one of the seats they have out there, on the deck, or bring a chair and picnic and make an afternoon...
