I love going to the Abingdon Farmers Market. I have my usual stops at the couple with the dried apples, the girl with lavender tea, and the lady with the best quiche ever. Occasionally, I do get vegetables, eggs, and meat, but those sweets (and there are several vendors who sell delicious stuff) call to me way too much. The... More

It's open Tuesday afternoons and Saturdays (not sure of the Sat times). It's small but then again, so is the town. We rode our bikes here after having lunch just to take a look around. We took some photographs of the colorful fruit, bought some delicious cookies, and I ended up buying a small painting from a local artists booth.... More

I took a motorcoach group to visit the Abingdon Farmers Market on Saturday, June 27, 2015. The group enjoyed stopping here and several members of the group bought things from the merchants. One man bought all the cupcakes that a woman had to sell as he was attending a covered dish fellowship the next day.

This farmers market, which is year round (although with shorter hours in winter) is the best in the area, in my opinion. The pavilion they are under is beautiful and the variety of fresh produce, fresh meats, and art is second to none. The parking lot can sometimes be an annoyance but there is also parking on the street.

I always enjoy walking around the farmers market in Abingdon. Fresh homemade desserts, fresh veggies and herbs. Very friendly people. A few crafts and soaps for sale. Would like to see more home made items, like quilts. Excellent place to stop and shop.

When I was invited to this farmers market, I did not expect to be as entertained as I was. There was a concert going on and it was well attended by community members. I had travelled with a group of 21 friends, and we quickly got involved in the dancing festivities. By the time the band played the last song,... More

My friends and I visited the Farmers Market on Thursday night for an event the town hosts called "Thursday Jams." The entire farmers market becomes transformed! Food trucks pull up, an area is gated off for a drinking area, and a dance area is set up in front of a stage with a live band. It was an amazing time,... More

Well worth the stop plan at least an hour if your patient enough to dig. I have found lots of treasures buried in boxes.
