A true variety show at its best! Filled with singing, dancing, magic(yes, magic!!!), and sketch comedy about life in the USA ranging from politics to world events and of course, Texas are truly wonderful. The theater is small enough to have a very up close and personal feel with very energetic players. The back of the stage is open to... More

I've been to Esther's twice and simply LOVE IT.... great "pop culture and curent event" humor! The magician is great and a nice mix with the comedy show. When in Austin Esther's is definitely a stop to make! More

A business colleague from Texas took me to see the show on 6th Street on a Thursday evening in January. I didn't know what to expect but ended up having a fantastic time. The show was 1.5 hours of fast-paced, satirical comedy mixed with music and magic. Ray Anderson, the magician, was a particular stand-out - so funny & a... More

If you are coming to Ausitn, or already live in Ausitn, this is a MUST see. The cast is hilarious, the show is creative and very funny, and the magician is fantastic. When visiting Austin, I would got see Esther's Follies, now that I live here, I still go every several months and it is a staple when family or... More

This was a great show right in the downtown. They have a full bar and good talent. We had fun and are glad we went. Walking down the main street after the show is not for the faint of heart. There are beggars, tattoo parlors, and lots of bars and music. There were enough police around to keep order but... More

A group of four of us went for the first time. We were impressed with the energy and smart humor that ran throughout the show. Two of us were from out of state so some of the bits about local situations went past us. Not to worry, the music, magic, and physical comedy were all so funny, I was literally... More

Definitely worth a visit when you're in Austin, TX. Over the course of approximately 90 minutes, the audience is treated to continuous, rapid fire doses of contemporary humor---presented in song, dance, rap, rhyme, or even magic tricks----by the talented troupe of performers. Every topic seems to be fair game. The night we visited had a political bent, with Republicans, Liberals,... More

My second time going to this venue and still equally as entertaining as before. My eldest daughter took my younger daughter (27 yrs old) and I and we both enjoyed it. Something for everyone. Not for the easily offended but if you have a sense of humor, you will truly have an enjoyable evening. More

I was invited to see a comedy show at this place not knowing what to expect. These guys were great. It was a non-stop laugh fest! If you live in or are visiting Austin, don't miss going here. It really is an eclectic place, but don't let that fool you. They deliver the laughs. More

While attending a military reunion, I went to Ester's Follies. it was great! Slightly risque, very hilarious, well done skits. You never feel offended no matter what your views. Passersby on 6th street stop and watch and sometimes are incorporated in the show. The magician is superb. I had seen Ester's years ago in a different venue and felt it... More
