They are like Capital Steps (actually better) and Saturday Night Live with a mixture of local and national topics. Their routines are a real hoot and they do a good job of lampooning everybody; the quality of the magician is spectacular. This is all professional stuff and you won't be dissapointed. They have a standard cast and a lot of... More

Esther's Follies has been a part of Austin for over 20 years. It is a really fun, unforgettable experience. You will gain a whole new perspective of the current day politics and you will laugh until you cry! You will be completely amazed by the magician and will leave there talking about how in the world he did those things.... More

Up to date local and National humor. Many skits satirical musicals. The Magician is top notch and the finally is always superb. The venue is small enough so that there is not a bad seat in the house. Very "Austin" decor, great lobby and drinks.

A group of friend's went here and it was such a great show!! I laughed so much my jaws were aching, the cast is so talented and enjoy what they do. My friend and I were both singled out during the show multiple times, don't set anywhere near the front of you don't think you can be a good sport!!... More

The humor and wit are totally related to current events. Lots of hilarious parodies related to movies, netflix shows and politics of all types. Pay attention because it happens fast. Get there early and grab a drink at the bar. You can take in the theater with you. The theater is located on 6th street with a large glass window... More

It is a fun, satirical and entertaining show. The contents of the show changes every 6 months, I think, but not sure. Parking is not too close so allow more time to find a parking lot.

You can't go wrong with this show. The magical is...well... magical!. I have seen Vegas acts and this is just as amazing! The routines are all timely parodies on current events. The interaction with the "street" people is an added benefit!. But, watch out you may become part of the show! They call at least one person up on the... More

This place is a classic and captures the essence of Austin as a liberal island in a sea of Red Neck right wing nuts. When Bush was president they had so much material to work with that the show was always fresh and funny. Rick Perry was a great gift to these players as well. I guess Ted Cruz will... More

Will keep you laughing! Great for a date or small groups. There are usually 2 shows a night, so if you miss the early show you can catch the later one.
