TOTALLY AWESOME!

Huge peacocks everywhere! Suck a beautiful thing to see. Along with adorable ponds with turtles and fish. Going on a sunny day was very relaxing.

Charming cottage and gardens, with a group of peacocks totally at home around the grounds. You can visit the house and gardens in about ten minutes, or spend longer roaming the nice trails around the property. Lots of families come with little kids and they are so happy and excited to see the peacocks. I was there in mid-March and... More

I visited Mayfield Park recently with a Nature in the City group and thoroughly enjoyed it. This park is best seen in the spring, early summer and fall (October and November). We were there in the first week of March, so the trees were bare, but the trail was nice--hilly, but not challenging for most people. Quite a few wild... More

We were blown away by this amazing gem. The scenery was breath taking. There was an awesome hiking trail where you literally went on your own adventure based upon the path of your choice. You encounter several spots where you walk across streams on rocks. You are in a very dense area where you are surrounding by mother nature at... More

We stopped by just to take a look around, and were surprised to see peacocks moving around freely. It is a beautiful environment, and a really good escape. The trails are nice, the cottage is something different, and the scenic surroundings were breathtaking. It was a great start to our day in Austin, would recommend visiting at least once.

We spent a couple of hours here walking around and exploring the property. I didn't find it to be that beautiful, BUT I suspect that the time of the year has something to do with that. It was fun to see the peacocks hanging out in the trees, and learning about the history of the property.

Nice trails and place to see peacocks. It's great for kids to run around and for family photos. Be careful of trails that seem to end nowhere and crossing streams that have sketchy crossing points.

My husband and I stopped in on a whim, it was amazing! The grounds are so beautiful and vibrant. The peacocks were adorable and come right up to the patrons. I can not wait to go back again with a better camera!

I went here with my nice camera and was able to take some great pictures of the peacocks and the surrounding area. I thought it would be tough to find a peacock, but they were all congregated near the cottage and came very close to the people (some kids were actually feeding them from their hands.) It was a small... More

Here are my tips for this favorite spot of ours: - Take your lunch here and picnic with the peacocks - picnic tables are available - Kids will love seeing the peacocks all over - Don't skip the area where the ponds are as it is so peaceful and nice - If you visit Mt. Bonnell then you really should... More
