This has been my parish for twelve years, and I love it even more now that they serve the Tridentine Latin Mass at 3:30 every Sunday. Small but beautiful, and if it's too crowded they will simulcast in Bishop's hall. I hear the school is very good, too. I went to a school Mass one morning and the kids were all... More

Attended mass here on my own while on a visit. The cathedral is small but incredibly beautiful. Mass is 12.05 each weekday and I thoroughly enjoyed the sermon on the commandments!

Could not tour as much as I would have liked as there was a service going on when we arrived. Never made it back. I would visit again if I returned to Austin,

Beautiful cathedral, beautiful Masses. We both attended Mass on the vigil of Corpus Christi 2012, and I returned by myself on Sunday for Mass and to participate in the Eucharistic procession. Even with the scaffolding around the building, it was still beautiful. Only complaints are 1) that we could not enter the church for prayer much before the vigil started... More

St. Mary's is a small but beautiful cathedral. The doors are always open and there are restrooms in the basement. The architecture is fantastic and mass there was very nice.

Getting to go to mass while on vacation was amazing. This cathedral is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Unlike the cathedrals of Europe and eastern United States, this one was built at he end of the 19th century as a parish church for the small city of Austin. It shows in the smaller size and greater simplicity of this space, which is a nice departure from the grand spaces and gilded churches found elsewhere.

This is a beautiful place to stop if you are visiting downtown. The cathedral is restored and is simply beautiful. There is a gift shop, too! This should just be a place to stop on your tour of downtown Austin. (ie it doesn't take all day to see it all!) It's an easy walk to many great lunch places such... More
