We took our 2 1/2 year old grand daughter to the park. I was surprised that they wanted 5 dollars to park, but the nice attendant pointed us to free parking about 50 yards away (so don't pay unless someone in your group has trouble walking- heck we were there for a "walk-in-the-park" anyway). The mini-train looked fun but was... More

The last time I was at this park was 7 years ago when we were in town visiting family. It was so memorable that while we were in town this week we knew we had to take our 3 little ones, 8, 5 and 3. There is all kinds of playground equipment, From swings and slides to monkey bars and... More

I've been visiting Zilker Park Playground since I was 8! Now my kiddos 9 and 4 play there. The zypher train is a MUST as it takes you around the rest of the park, nice views. Interactive musical xylophones and Barton Creek Pool just down the way. $$$ There maybe a fee for parking, especially on the weekend, but totally... More

Very nice park, plenty of equipment and shade. Walking distance to the trains and a snow cone stand!

What isn't to love about a huge park in downtown Austin? Lots to see and do. Check out the Zilker Zephyr...it will make your child's entire day to ride on such a fun little train.

Fun place for children and young at heart adults. Take a train ride through the park. The afterward, the children can play on the nearby playscape. Don't forget a stroll through the Nature Garden Center across the road.

No one should ever visit Austin without enjoying the cold waters of Barton Springs. It is; Well run and safe, (life guards everywhere) inexpensive, (just $1 for seniors like yours truly) very unique, (clear, cold springs) a real blast for all ages.

Check out the train nearby, and the dinosaur digging grounds just across the road. East to spend the day here.
