It's fun and conveniently located next to the mini train (walking distance). There is also a sand pit in one of the areas. The only problem I had was with watching all three of my boys there. As long as you have enough manpower to watch your young children you will love this place!

The whole family can have fun here. The major attraction is the train ride. Good grub at the food stand. Kids love this place.

There is a toddler area with a large sand pit that my girls loved, but once they started exploring the larger area, I felt like I really had to be on my toes and watch them because the playground crosses the Zilker train tracks. Excellent playground that kept my girls' attention for over an hour! Will definitely return. Expect to... More

We all had fun here! The kids were able to get out and about (visiting from the U.P. of Michigan in the WORST Winter ever this was welcomed!). The playground(s) are fun and engaging. We also enjoyed the walking path. And of course, the train is not to be missed.

We took our 2 1/2 year old grand daughter to the park. I was surprised that they wanted 5 dollars to park, but the nice attendant pointed us to free parking about 50 yards away (so don't pay unless someone in your group has trouble walking- heck we were there for a "walk-in-the-park" anyway). The mini-train looked fun but was... More

The last time I was at this park was 7 years ago when we were in town visiting family. It was so memorable that while we were in town this week we knew we had to take our 3 little ones, 8, 5 and 3. There is all kinds of playground equipment, From swings and slides to monkey bars and... More

I've been visiting Zilker Park Playground since I was 8! Now my kiddos 9 and 4 play there. The zypher train is a MUST as it takes you around the rest of the park, nice views. Interactive musical xylophones and Barton Creek Pool just down the way. $$$ There maybe a fee for parking, especially on the weekend, but totally... More

Very nice park, plenty of equipment and shade. Walking distance to the trains and a snow cone stand!

What isn't to love about a huge park in downtown Austin? Lots to see and do. Check out the Zilker Zephyr...it will make your child's entire day to ride on such a fun little train.

I take my group of 1st graders here twice a year for a picnic and some free play. They LOVE it! Such a fun playground even for adults =)
