I was concerned at doing a 3 day music festival at my age (mid-50's) but this worked out great! Weather was fabulous and the music was even better. Stages are set far enough apart to hear the one you want clearly but I agree with the comfortable shoes recommendation. Longest lines are for the water filling stations which I think... More

This venue was rebuilt from the old space where they used to record the weekly show. The new space is modern, airy and there is not a bad seat in the house. Lots of bars and cool hang-out areas too.

We really enjoyed this venue. Every seat is a good seat and they have plenty of bars and restrooms for all. We saw Brian Setzer and the show was fantastic. I really liked the homey feel of this famous music spot.

This is the first time I'd been here since the place was redone. The venue is very clean and comfortable and easy to access. Lots of parking space in downtown garages. I would definitely see a show here again. You can either choose to have a seat or do GA and be on the groundlevel depending on how you are... More

What an amazing experience I wish I could repeat more than once a year! Set in the fall in Austin in Zilker park with amazing downtown views, head to multiple stages throughout the day for some of the best bands around. Fantastic Austin eats & drinks, a local arts tent, & easy Uber access for dropoff with a short walk... More

My friend and I were both first timers to ACL. We LOVED it. Here are some tips. Tips for Getting there 1. The MetroRail is AWESOME. We stayed at the Doubletree that was .6 miles from the Highland station which was a 15 min ride to the downtown station. There is plenty of parking in the mall across the street... More

We went to Day 1 of the ACL, (Oct.2, 2015). We picked up the free shuttle at Republic Square, got bussed for about 15 minutes then began our journey. Park was orderly and marked off and labeled distinctly. Plenty of I'm assuming, volunteers, were available to answer any questions. Plenty of room to roam (We were guessing 5 football fields... I am NOT a music girl but my peeps are and this is an annual event for my adult kids. I have been several times over the years and it is definitely getting better every year. The technology is keeping up - great wristbands that can be connected to a credit card to pay for things. The music is great... More

The music is good (I personally think it was better in years past. The food is the best "event" food you can find outside of a "foodie" event. (You seriously have to try the Mighty Cone, Mmmmmmmm! ACL started out as a great event enjoyed by everyone, but as the years progress (and their success continues to grow), it seems... More
