I love taking my girls to the Botanical Gardens. During the week, admission and parking are free. There are lots of paths for the kids to run around on, and my girls love looking at the flowers. The ponds, waterfall, and Japanese gardens are also our favorites. more

These botanical gardens were quite a bit bigger than expected! The rose garden, Japanese garden and pre-historic garden are all highlights. I was in Austin on business and decided to check out the Zilker Botanical gardens. It was amazing, especially the Japanese reflection garden. Exquisite. Great place to meditate alone, have a romantic walk with your significant other, meet friends or bring the kids. more
