Service is first rate. You are treated like an old friend. The presentations - from the amuse bouche, appetizers, main course and awesome desserts - are lovely and everything tastes so so good. Desserts to die for. Worth every penny. We've been 4 times in the past year and never a falter. Go!

Walking into the Driskill is a step back in time and a visit is a must. Conveniently located on 6th street, one can sit in the bar or enjoy a meal at the cafe. We enjoyed appetizers and cocktails sitting on the patio overlooking the bustling crowds. I have never seen a comparable hotel (we did not stay there so... More

This is a beautiful hotel and great bar and a great bakery and grilll but wished I had just gone to visit and not paid the $250 a night for it. It just was not worth it. The linens were not the quality I like, I did not think it was entirely clean, you could not see as it was... More

We didn't stay here but stopped in for a drink. The hotel is rich in history and the lobby/restaurant are worth a look even if you don't stay.

Stayed there for a christmas party. Beautiful place all around, food was good too. Ball room ceiling is a must see, we snuck in to sneak a peek at it.

I love old hotels, leave the chain hotels to the conventions. We live in Austin and still stay here on occasion. In the heart of DT, this is a great location and has one of the best restaurants in Austin. This is one of the hotels I always recommend visitors to Austin stay in.

I have not stayed here, but have had friends who enjoyed it. The bar is casual, cool and has some Remington and Remington like sculptures. The restaurant is very good. Enjoy the stained glass in the lobby and have a drink.

Wonderful building with history oozing from it and a great eatery with a street view. Reasonable food prices.

We can't rate the Driskill as a hotel- we didn't stay there. We can't rate the Drtiskill as a place to eat - we intended to get back but time didn't allow it. But the decor and the atmosphere deserve ouir highest commendation. The stained glass skylight ,marble floors, and dark wood interior set a memorable mood. Think scenes from... More
