We had cocktails in their very charming bar on Mothers Day. Our waitress was exceptional and the cocktails were excellent and moderately priced. More

The nicest hotel in Austin. Spectacular service rooms are even better right in the heart of Austin. Walk to restaurants and the capitol which is a must see. The bakery was the best for deserts and breakfast did not try lunch. Eat outside or in. Great atmosphere and they make you feel right at home. More

Did not stay at The Driskill but hung out in the lobby and enjoyed the people and the views. It is a must-see in Austin. More

I love old buildings made into hotels, and I love old hotels redone. This one is very fine. Like all hotels of a certain age, you can see that at least part of it was made before elevators; only so many floors that one will walk up. There are elevators now. The halls are labyrinthine, and I defy you to... More

Although the Driskill is a little pricey, it is worth it! This hotel is beautiful and it's location is great. Wonderful place to stay or eat for a special occasion. More

We went for a nightcap at the bar and it was fine enough. The hotel is gorgeous, if you appreciate old style elegance. The beverage options were a bit sketchy (no lists for many of the spirits) but it was relaxing and easy at the end of a busy day. More

The bakery is a great spot for pausing to have a snack or drink and still be near the action of 6th Avenue without quite so much noise. Architecture is wonderful and the front portico is a choice spot for sitting, but inside the bakery is also a nice travel back in time to when buildings were detailed and beautiful. More

Had I known that there was a bakery on site, I wouldl have gone to the Driskell the minute I hit town. As it was, my friend and I found this place our last night in town. Great bartender, wonderful cocktails and excellent food. The atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy and the place had very few customers on the... More

Just walked through to see hotel appointments - ceilings, metal, glass, furniture, great place for an event like prenup drinks and dinner. More
