lovely old school hotel

Went here for dinner and drinks. Its a very old school hotel, great service and food you can imagine it existing unchanged many years ago.

The facade of this hotel is absolutely stunning, a highlight of the 6th Street neighborhood. Feel free to step inside to visit the bakery and see the interior.

We stopped by the Driskill twice during our weekend stay in Austin. The 1st time because we had heard good things and 2nd because we really liked the bar!! The location is great, right downtown on 6th street. The interior is gorgeous, so old-school. The only thing is it really does smell bad in the lobby - like moldy. But... More

We weren't guests at the hotel, but, nonetheless, made it a point of our trip to stop in Saturday afternoon for THE BEST bloody mary bar. The bar area is so cozy and comfortable, and, the ingredients in your bloody are unending.

We live in Austin. I love the Driskill Grill for a special meal. The Driskill Bar that feels like authentic and classic Austin and has an awesome happy hour. I've only stayed in the original part of the hotel. Love the luxury and the history.

Did not stay at this property, however visited the magnificent lobby and lounge areas. Built in 1886 at a cost of $400,000.00 this hotel is a magnificent example of 1800's architecture. A must visit... and grab a coffee at the 1886 cafe!

Beautiful architecture. Old Southern charm. We dropped in for a cocktail and wished we had stayed there.

This hotel is beautiful. It's a little pricey but worth it on a special occasion. The room was very well put together and the bathroom was lovely. The hotel restaurant and bar are great gathering places. Good foot to boot.

My 18 yr old daughter and I came to Austin this weekend to visit friends & look at colleges. As we were driving downtown on our 3rd day, our friend pointed out the Driskill & told us about its unique history and my daughter was enthralled. So I booked a room for the two of us as a surprise for... More

I did not stay here, but I did have a wonderful brunch in their cafe. I definitely recommend it! I had the egg white omelette with a side of delicious toast and fruit.

Thank Lydia U
