Such a beautiful hotel inside and out. Even if you do not stay there I recommend stopping in for a drink at the bar. Great atmosphere and fabulous cocktails. Such a nice break from the less nice scene on 6th street

With this kind of luxury comes a handsome price, if you price is not a factor, then indulge yourself in probably the best hotel in Austin, it is an old facade front entrance hotel, an awesome "Texas cowboy" themed bar, the rooms are 110% clean. Right in the center of the heart of Downtown, see it for yourself

The bar serves great drinks and apps. I love the truffle popcorn. I've heard the place is haunted, but I've always left disappointed on that front :) Excellent music - the last time I was there, I heard one of the best piano players of my life.

The cocktail lounge is a wonderful way to spend happy hour. Have a picture taken with a longhorn (stuffed mind you ).

If you ever get to taste their tartar with wasabi appetizer at their restaurant you'll be sold. The steaks are great, too. Expensive? Yes. Their menu is a composition of well executed classic dishes (sometimes with a twist). Impeccable service, coupled with high end food and excellent wine selection. Despite being local, we try to make one down-town week-end without... More

There is nothing to dislike about the Driskill. It is a beautiful hotel with every eminity. The decor is lovely and full of so much history. The hotel opened in 1886. There is an historic side and a more modern side. The bar is very nice. It is located on 6th street so it is very convenient to walk to... More

I've been coming to the Driskill for years with friends. It's a great place for a girls weekend away. I felt like I was at an exotic resort. The location is convenient to 6th street and shopping. Upstairs there is western decor that makes you feel like you have arrived in Texas with style. We relaxed in the cowhide couches... More

We wanted to check out the Driskill Hotel and Bar, so we meandered through the place. Nice western decor and furniture. We were hoping to have a couple of drinks, but there was no seating available, so we took a couple of pics & left!
