Stopped in after a long walk on 6th, had a wonderful fancy dessert with my friends. I highly recommend to anyone in the area. Great ambiance, beautiful hotel!

This is part of Austin's History and they have a great cafe for a snack around noon. Nice selection and leisurely service.

I only stepped inside for a few minutes, but it is a beautiful building! Great for pictures, photographers will be happy. I would love to have lunch here sometime. I would definitely recommend visiting here!

There is so much great stuff to say about this place I don't know where to start. This is a beautiful historic building that exudes charm and offers exceptional service. We had a wonderful junior suite with a balcony that overlooked 6th Street. It was by no means a ginormous room but it certainly is on my favorite hotel rooms... More

I love this hotel and I love the bar and I love the couch with the cows hide cover and I love the breakfasts at the cafe there. One of my favorite Austin places.

I have only seen the lobby of the Driskill but take the time to walk the lobby and stop for a drink in the bar. You will be surrounded by history. Note the dark wood paneling that takes you back one hundred years to a simpler time and place. The floor, the staircase the lighting are all part of that... More

What a gorgeous, historic building! Our room was very quiet; breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. Very convenient to walking anywhere downtown.

Had lunch in the Driskill Cafe. Very good food and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had the Honey Fried Chicken that was moist and crispy. There is a bakery attached to the cafe with excellent baked goods with a variety of gluten-free items.

Loved the ambiance of hotel as well as the bar; the decor is comfortable, the live music was good, service was also good - even when it was very crowded. We did not stay here but I would consider it next time I'm in Austin - great old hotel.

We didn't stay here...so I can only speak of its regal charm, not its pricing. We walked through it because of its notoriety for being haunted and just LOVED the look of the place. The Driskill is a hotel opened in 1866 where the owner, who lost the hotel a year after it opened and later died “a broken man,”... More
