my niece took me kayaking and I had an amazing day. The weather was beautiful and I am not sure you could ask for anything better. This is something worth doing when you visit Austin, TX. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I asked for a military discount and the cashier informed me that it was only for active... More

Staff was nice and they had everything we could possibly need before after and during our rental process. It was difficult to find for some reason, but I'm sure it was my problem only since no one else seemed to have any issues, it was pretty crowded for a weekday.

On my visit to Austin we did stand up paddle boards in Lady Bird Lake. The boards were new and in great shape. Rental process was easy. The lake was beautiful at the end of March, and location is great. Rent for a short or long time. If it's your first time paddle boarding, don't plan to be able to... More

There are a few rowing places on Lady Bird Lake, but this location has the best equipment and the nicest staff. The check in process is quick, simple, and they rarely have waits for boats. They have a parking lot, which many other places don't, and they have well maintained port o potties. Many other locations have crappy equipment, but... More

I lived about an hour away from Austin and would frequently visit the city specifically so that I could rent a SUP from The Rowing Dock and padde around Lady Bird Lake. The staff are always so nice, the prices are manageable and Lady Bird Lake is beautiful. The Rowing Dock even allowed me to bring my dog along for... More

We recently rented canoes, stand-up paddle boards, and kayaks for a group of 15 ranging in age from 6 to 90 years of age. It was Saturday a little before lunch, and they took care of our large group no problem. Staff were polite and efficient, explained what we needed to know about the equipment we were renting and life... More

The Rowing Dock could not do anything better. As soon as we drove up we were greeted and in the water in less five minutes. It took longer for my daugthers to figure out what kind of water craft we wanted. The river was amazing my daughter loved seeing different kinds of fish, birds, and turtles. Being able to see... When my husband and I decided on a whim to rent some boats on the lake, I googled around for somewhere to go. The Rowing Dock definitely has the best looking website but they also have the highest rates I found. We decided to go there anyways because I wanted to rent a paddleboat and the other places I found... More

Everyone but me wanted to try paddle boarding so we went to The Rowing Dock. They were great, the gear was in very good condition, the access to the river was smooth and quick, the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, friendly. I stayed on the shore and took pictures while the other 3 tried the boards. You buy time on... More

Went to this location with my Fiance to try paddling a kayak for the first time. The staff set us up with a double kayak, and kept our anxiety at the dock while we enjoyed the river. The staff told us that the kayak is hard to flip, and gave us some tips about paddling to get us up and... More
