I used to love Antone's and wish it was still open for business, bit it is not. The venue was closed and a sports bar has taken over the space. If there was a classification for no rating, I would have used it. Clifford Antone was a prime mover on the Austin music scene until his untimely death some years... More

Went there because of it's association with where Stevie Ray Vaughan got his start. People at the front were friendly. There was a "School of Rock" concert celebrating the end of the "School of Rock" kids camp. We got to watch for free some really cool kids playing their hearts out on stage in front of an appreciative crowd. It... More

We had to visit the legendary Antone's while we were in Austin, we went on one of the open stage nights and saw some great local acts. We are from Australia and we love our blues so this place is pretty special for us and it didn't disappoint us. A great night, thanks, long live the blues.

We visited this venue whilst on holiday from the UK, and were treated to an open mic night. What an ace place to visit... Honestly, you must go sit and soak it all in. I totally recommend it, its not just a 'bluesy' venue we did listen to some rock but on the whole I think maybe it is a... More

Antone's has been Austin's home to the blues for over 35 years and has been located in several locations in the city with a recent move to what may be its nicest facility yet out on East Riverside, a short drive or bus trip from Downtown Austin. The new location offers ample parking, a multi level floor plan with a... More

This place is legendary for the names that have stood upon it's stage, yet they still continue to run an open stage blues night where astounding local talent come along to play. Heck the night we went there was a 13yr old shaking the house down and we just enjoyed the whole atmosphere and music no end.

Antone's will be moving soon from 5th Street. We thank our hotel concierge for telling us where to hear the blues. The crowd was sparse this Monday night but the music was incredible and we discovered the amazing talents of Derek O'Brien and Malford Milligan. Milligan is clearly someone who is doing what he was born to do - mesmerizing... More

We were excited about returning to Antone's last night because it was so much fun the first time (two years ago). We weren't disappointed - Peter Rowan was fantastic and his back up band was terrific, too. I remembered that the doors rarely close, so I dressed in layers. Good idea! This is laid back, no-frills, good 'ol Texas Twang... More

Antones' Blues Club. The place that started it all. Helped created Austin as "The Live Music Capital of the World". Sunday night open mike, $5 cover. Local musicians band (pardon the pun) together to shimmy and shake. Great music. National and famous performers occasionally perform there. Check the website for perfomers dates. You will ENJOY!
