My husband and I had so much fun here. When I first heard about Pete's dueling piano bar concept, I wasn't confident I would like it. I typically dislike live music as I usually find it distracting and annoying. This is TOTALLY different! It's more like an interactive show and party. Everybody in the audience joins in, even the shy... More

Young and old, this place is a must! I have lived in Austin for four years and I finally visited this place last weekend. The environment is welcoming and can be either relaxing or upbeat, whichever way you want to make it. The pianists are amazing at what they do, playing old school to current pop. Requests can be made... More

I am in Austin for business, so last night a couple of us went into the downtown area and thankfully stumbled upon Pete's Dueling Piano Bar. We walked in and the place was pretty empty just prior to the show starting. We all we a little apprehensive. Once the two guys starting playing the place turned electric. They were great... More

A group of 10 of us work colleagues form various countries, UK/France/Switzerland/Ireland, all came over to Austin on a business trip. One evening we visited this piano bar. The improvised music is exceptional, the talent is truly 'awesome'. They played anything the crowd asked for, got people up on stage and improvised songs about anyone and anything. They were so... If you are looking for fun this place is where you need to go. We have been to a few dueling piano bars but this one is a step up from them all. The staff really know how to work the crowd and it can get really busy but you cant go wrong here

What a great place for nostalgia. These musicians are extremely talented. They engage the crowd and they have a wealth of music knowledge for different genres. I think every song that was requested while we were there they were able to play and did a good job at it. Service was great as well from the bar. My only complaint... More

No doubt it is because of places like this that Austin is called the "Live Music Capital of the World". This is my favorite place on 6th Street and a must stop whenever in Austin. Service is great and the musicians are excellent: funny, very interactive and can play a wide range of musical styles.

Whenever I go to 6th street, which isn't too often, I have to make an appearance at Pete's Piano Bar. I've celebrated my wife's and friends birthdays there. The musicians never disappoint and definitely know how to work the crowd..Get there somewhat early so you can get a great seat.

Pete's is one of my favorite places on 6th Street by far! It's one of the few places that charges on cover on 6th. Fine by me because it keeps all the 21st birthday party groups out! I cannot count how many times I've been to this place. Its the same jokes and songs but always different people getting called... More
