Four of us (2 adults and 2 children), all females, went rock climbing on 06/25/015. Adam, our guide and the owner, was excellent. He was patient, fun, and easy going. We had a blast. This was our first time rock clmbing, and we learned so much. Adam encouraged us to face our fears and climb to the best of our... More

Like the Grand Canyon, this place is obviously a holy place. You can feel the spirits of many generations while walking up the fairly easy climb. I've been several times and look forward to going back again soon.

My 9 year-old son and I were in Austin for a few days and were looking for outdoor activities that "wouldn't be boring" for him. We contacted Adam of Rock-About with 1 days notice and were fortunate that he had the next day open. He took us to the seismic wall just a few minutes out of town. My son... More

During a spur-of-the moment Spring Break trip to Fredericksburg, my husband and I decided to do something different. I contacted Rock-About that week and arranged a rock-climbing excursion at Enchanted Rock. What a great time!!! I would recommend this type of excursion to everyone. We met Adam and Chris "Birddog," and several "kids" at the Rock and began our lesson.... More

Get your butt off the couch and go climb! You get every penny you pay for and some! The lesson was thorough and I was scaling the rock in no time. Birddog is amazing. He is extremely encouraging. He has a way of talking panicked climbers off the rock. I will be back, soon! P.S. If you have a spare... More

Thank you so much Birddog for working with the boys from Troop 1296 at Enchanted Rock! You and your staff are top notch. We had a large group, and it turned out to be a long day of climbing, but all of the boys were able to finish the Merit Badge requirements they needed. Your staff is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and... More

My friends and I spent a great weekend with Birddog of Rock-About down in the Hill Country, learning how to climb limestone at Reimers and granite at Enchanted Rock. As a brand-new climber (only previous experience was at local indoor climbing gym), I felt super-comfortable and safe being coached by Birddog. Our safety, enjoyment and training was of the utmost... My family spent a super afternoon climbing with Adam at the Seismic Wall. My 8-year-old says, "Adam was nice. He let us try things and he gave us tips. He always gave us a challenge but it was never so hard that we couldn't do it. Even the cliffy ones. You're roped in so it's never scary."

We hired Rock About for a private 101 lesson for 5 of us for my son's birthday. We had an age range of 10 to 63 and we all had a great time. Adam provided great customer customer service from the time we booked the trip to post-trip. Chris "Birddog" was an awesome guide, and made everyone feel comfortable. I'm... More

This is a great company to use if you're considering rock climbing for the first time. Our guide, Tyler, was very thorough instructing us the basics of rock climbing and he was super friendly! It was way harder than we anticipated it to be and took us hours to reach the top. Nonetheless, we felt safe and had a fantastic... More
