While walking on sixth street, we heard some good music comic from the open windows at The Stage at Sixth. With no cover charge, it was easy to go chekc out the house band, Austin Heat. They played a good mix of classic songs and songs they wrote themselves. The people behind the counter where very friendly as well and... More

Popped in w/ friends on a wknd visit to ATX. The place is a good size so you don't have to step all over each other and it has more than one bar so you don't have to wait for drinks. Some places have outdoor areas for smokers, this place is huge so the outdoor area is cool for groups... More

My friends and I were bar hopping and decided to stop in (Super bowl Sunday) to watch some of the game and have a few drinks. The place was pretty busy, but not packed either. Everyone seemed to just be camping around the bar (mostly those not of age to even be standing AT the bar) which made it difficult... More

We came here on New Year's Eve with some friends. We chose this place because there was no cover and 2 live bands were playing. The place didn't start getting packed until about 11, but we really didn't notice because it is so huge! Part of it is covered and the other is all open. This is where the smokers... More

We dropped in to The Stage on Sixth on a Friday night and stayed there for more than 2 hours as the music was pretty good. Overall good value for money as the drinks aren't expensive and the atmosphere is electric.

Went Friday night and got country music, went Saturday got 80s. Had so much fun and didn't have to deal with 100s of crunch college kids. Will come back.

I had been to The Stage in Nashville, TN so I was hoping this would be similar and it did not disappoint! The live music by Jake Kellen was fantastic! The crowd was a little too laid back for my taste but the place was awesome!

We were at the Stage during the Pecan Street Festival and the bands were great. We were surprised by how few of the bars on 6th took this great festival as an excuse to get some live music going earlier in the day, given the thousands of people around - the Stage was an exception and we spent a good... The quality of performers on the night we were there was super impressive! We had a blast dancing, enjoying the great music & enjoying drinks. It was just a fun place to hang out. The back had corn hole set up to play & was a great mid evening activity for our group. I know it is advertised as "country"... More
