We looked at reviews of the bike companies around Austin and thought that we would just hire bikes for the day and not do a tour. At the time we didnt realise that in Austin there is now bike stations located everywhere in town (these are the red stands and bikes), these charge $8 for the day and you can... More

Hi Ryan, First, sorry but you've been misinformed. The $8 for Austin bike share allows for 30 minute bikes at a time. If you are unable to find a stand within 30 minutes, your card starts being charged overage fees for up to $75 per day per bike. Their poor online reviews reflect as such. We feel it is highly... Rented a bike with my girlfriend from here. They recommended great spots to visit. We were running late and they stayed late let us drop off the bikes. They made fantastic recommendations for where to eat and go see live music later that night! I would definitely rent from them again. My only regret is we didn't have time to... More

Our family of five went on a tour with Lisa. First we had appropriate bikes selected for each of us. Our 7 year old ended up riding a tandem bike with Dad. Our 10 and 13 year olds each rode bikes that were perfect for them. The weather was perfect- mostly cloudy with cool December temps. Lisa explained everything we... More

We were looking for something different to do while visiting Austin and this ended up being the perfect activity. First, Keith was SUPER helpful. I called several times with changes and questions and Keith was always willing to help. Even on the day of the tour I called and opted for a tandem bike which he was able to accomodate... More

Lisa was such an enthusiastic and informative tour guide. She got us over being scared of riding bikes downtown Austin, keeping us safe in the process (including giving us the rules). We went all over the place, stopping here and there so she could fill us in on what we were seeing – and she wasn’t afraid to talk politics... More

We had a great time on our bike tour with Lisa. We went on a weekday morning so it was only my family and I was a little nervous about riding through the streets. I felt safe the whole time and my son told Lisa that I would prefer trails so the ride had a lot of trails. The boardwalk... More

Yoni guided us around Austin, the State House, Univ. Texas and some downtown spots. Good tour, good pace, bikes were good but I highly recommend padded bike shorts as the saddles are very unforgiving!

If you have one day in which you would like to explore Austin, Austin Bike is a terrific way to do so. Our guide, Yoni (rhymes with Tony) was fantastic. His pace was great, the commentary helpful, and the tour gave a good overview of the entire downtown area and city. Even if you do not have a reservation, as... More
