I rented a bike for 3 hours and just wanted a reliable, fairly lightweight bike to tour the city. That is exactly what I got, along with some excellent advise about everything from restaurants to unknown trails. I had a great time exploring this very cool city by bike.

My wife and I recently visited Austin for her birthday and decided to rent bikes one day. The bikes we got were nice, easy to use, and reasonable in price. The trail around the lake was very scenic and mostly shaded on a hot day.

Their Bikes are really nice and look like classic like old fashion bikes with nice seats. I recommend the tour it's about 45 mins. We found out about it on Fickja searching #Austinbikerentals https://fickja.com/LE8930

Tour on Saturday Afternoon My husband and I were looking for a long time to take a bike tour and found this place online. We don't know much about Austin but have been to some of the local spots. Before reviewing: Just wanted to say that Russel was a nice tour guide!!! Make sure you ask lots of questions about... More

Staff helpful and friendly. Changed seats to more padded at our request. Great info on local bars and music. Very good bikes for rentals.

I hate to go so low with my rating but with (1) very uncomfortable bike seats and (2) a disappointing tour, I have to be honest here even though the owner is a super nice guy. When my boyfriend and I tour a new city we always opt for bike tours so we know a good tour from a lackluster... More

These guys are awesome! We loved the bikes and they gave us some great tips about where to ride. They went an extra step and gave us ideas about how to spend our time in Austin. They're in a central location. I also liked that you can fix up the cost on your return rather than committing to a timeframe... More

Rented bikes on Good Friday from Keith, the proprietor, for the 10 mile bike trail around Lady Bird Lake. Keith helped us out by marking up a map with must see stopping points, lunch suggestions and even telling us where the cleanest bathrooms were along the trail! Very friendly and helpful. Bikes were sturdy and provided a smooth ride. Would... More

So much fun renting bicycles from this team. They were right in the center of downtown Austin and had the right equipment for each of us. Keith and Russell were so helpful with advising us on where we wanted to go and getting around Austin. We unfortunately had one flat tire, but Keith quickly came to the rescue getting us... More

We looked at reviews of the bike companies around Austin and thought that we would just hire bikes for the day and not do a tour. At the time we didnt realise that in Austin there is now bike stations located everywhere in town (these are the red stands and bikes), these charge $8 for the day and you can... More

ABTAR, Owner at Austin Bike Tours and Rentals, responded to this review

Hi Ryan, First, sorry but you've been misinformed. The $8 for Austin bike share allows for 30 minute bikes at a time. If you are unable to find a stand within 30 minutes, your card starts being charged overage fees for up to $75 per day per bike. Their poor online reviews reflect as such. We feel it is highly...
