So much fun, Monkey See - A little funky gift shop (where else could you get a tentacle mustache?) Big Top - Malt Shop/Candy store with lots of old favorites and an assortment of bacon flavored items Lots of cool little stores definitly keep Austin wierd.

This was a great afternoon. One of the most relaxing afternoons I had while in Austin. This is a great neighborhood with an energy all it's own. Make sure to stop at Amy's for a scoop.

No trip to Austin is complete until I've done my part to keep Austin weird by making some purchases from some uniquely Austin shops and artists. South Congress hosts a lovely bazaar each weekend at which you can purchase a number of handmade items such as jewelry, soap, clothing, souvenir tiles, etc. If you want a unique souvenir of Austin,... We really enjoyed Gueros and the outdoor garden with live music. It was great to see folks dancing and having a good time under the stars. There is plenty to eat in the area; we enjoyed a late night snack at Homes for pizza. I was amused at the man flipping the crust in the air. The Continental Club is... More

This is a neat area in Austin to go to. Lots to see, great housing abounds. Scenic old area. Watch out for the streets, one way here and there, can sometimes be confusing.

Many good eateries with good variety. Pleasant evening. Easy to park and walk among the 3-4 blocks of food establishments.

SoCo is a really great place to spend a nice sunny afternoon in Austin. The shops, hotels and restaurants are great and all very different and funky. There are street vendors galore selling everything and some great street music. The best part is the food trailers.....these guys are making some incredible gourmet food at very reasonable prices. Some of the... More

This is the place to relax, shop, eat, or grab a beer. Real good place for people watching! Grab some food, grab a beer, kick back and watch Austin walk by.
