Maybe I'm too old for this?

We went to school in Ann Arbor Michigan which was authentic funky "back in the day." So Co felt forced... Like it was trying too... More

We wandered along the SoCo area on a Saturday afternoon. Great selection of bars and restaurants and some great shops to browse and rummage in. We managed to be the weekend of a big car weekend so there were lots fog really cool vintage motors cruising up and down. Great people watching. Area felt busy, cool but chilled. Something for... We stay here sometimes and love to walk the shops. It's 100% throwback Austin from the boot shops to the great restaurants. From music clubs to food trucks. You can walk for blocks on both sides of the street and spend hours watching people, eating and shopping.

Quintessential Austin neighborhood, A throwback to the 1950's architecture and color scheme. This area has it all from food trucks to restaurants, shopping and music( continental club). Make sure to visit Norton's Chicken Wings and Bits the best food truck in Austin.

Great way to spend an afternoon. The two things my wife enjoys more than anything in the world are food and shopping - South Congress Ave. has both. Lots of unique and interesting shops paired alongside some awesome restaurants.

Download the Historic Austin App for self directed walking tours on Congress and 6th. There are far more buildings of interest than those in the App. For instance the Tibbs building towards the end of the strip. Many wonderful architectural features dot this Avenue, the early wealth of Austin is mapped here as you walk down from the Capital Building.... More

South Congress is the Artist's Meca of Austin. There are a number of shops and restaurants along this street. Each has something interesting. If you want to take a stroll and window shop it's a feast for the eyes.

It's a beautiful street filled with really authentic stores, restaurants, food trucks and a lot of other surprises! I recommend you that you come to this place during the weekend :) and that you enjoy an Amy's ice cream while walking and shopping on this street.
