Live Love Paddle can be described as two experiences in one. The first experience which I am going to call Bats is unbeatable. The use of a kayak allows you to get as close or far from the bats as you like. My granddaughter really enjoyed paddling under the bridge as the bats emerged. I liked being a little further... More

Went to see bats in mid Oct. The first night in Austin we finished up dinner downtown and realized we were pefect timing to walk to bridge and see them from the bridge even thought we had reservation at Live Love Paddle the following night. Initiallly we were standing on one end of bridge (there are people all along the... More

Had a great night out on the river. This provided us with a very enjoyable evening and a unique perspective of the bats. I would definitely do it again.

We had a great time on this kayak trip and seeing the bats was amazing! My friends and I don't have much experience with kayaking, but were comfortable with this trip, so don't be afraid to try it if you have never kayaked before. There were lockers to put our belongings in which is nice so you don't have to... More

I didn't really know what to expect when i booked this tour but it turned to be such a great time. This is really a unique way to really see & learn about the Mexican Bats. If you never kayaked before, no worries, Casey, the owner gives a great instructional and the kayaks are very stable. It was also awesome... More

How often can you go on a twilight kayaking adventure in the middle of a big city to see millions of spooky animals and learn some crazy history? The Live Love Paddle bat kayak tour was a great experience. I had a great view of the bats, and Casey pointed out Austin trivia. If I ever return to Austin I... More

This activity was a highlight of our US roadtrip! The owners are indeed very very friendly. We had booked a bat trip but as it was ACL festival, they offered we kayaked further on too to listen to Pearl Jam as another group was doing this. This was a memorable experience: first the kayak which is great fun (the rivier... More

All of a sudden after a long day, we finished the planned attractions early and thought, what now? We called Live Love Paddle, the owner was very friendly and pleasant on the phone and same in person. He was very accommodating despite a very short notice, especially accommodating of our 3 and 7 year old kids. He also knew enough... More

When I booked this trip for late Sept, I worried it may be too late in the season for seeing the bats. I needn't have worried! Our tour included my husband and I and one other person. She had not kayaked before, but easily caught on. The kayaks are very stable. Casey (owner and guide) was easy going and knowledgeable.... More

We had a blast doing the kayak bat trip. Good professional staff and fun kayak trip. We are not terribly physically fit, but it seemed like a good length and we weren't totally exhausted. Highly recommended (but bring a hat).
