They are probably all good. But this one really is an intersting era. Exhibits rotate as well. So often worth a repat viait.

The Average rating is because the museum is mostly closed for renovation. The small open display of the Oval Office was interesting and I did enjoy and learn some from the other small gallery. If you are in Austin, definitely go, but don't make a special trip until it re-opens in full. Of course, since it is a FREE library...

Although the library was mostly closed the small portion that was open was good and gave us a flavor of the Johnson era. Good if you are close but I wouldn't travel miles to see it as it is. It is to fully open in December of this year.

We visited the LBJ Library and Museum on a family trip to Austin several years ago. We are not fans of LBJ but are big fans of presidential museums, and this is one of the best. In addition, it is the best museum in Austin. Highly recommended.

Beautiful building on the UT campus, surrounded by gardens. Very nice. A good place to take kids +10 in age. Interior exhibits are very well done & definitely do not miss the LBJ animatron on the upper level & the presential library. The LBJ animatron is more than amazing, & a tad eerie. So much of our country's history packed...

We just visited LBJ's Library in Austin the end of April and the place is under a major renovation. Wish we would have known this ahead of time. We did get to see the oval office but the only display open is on Lady Bird only. May want to call ahead to see what parts are open to the public.

I've been coming to this library for over 30 years. I always enjoy it and bring out-of-towners here whenever possible.

Be aware that the library and museum are undergoing renovations so not all the exhibits are open to the public. We got to see the replica of LBJ's White House and some interesting pictures of his presidency. Not much else was available.

It's a short cab ride from downtown and as I had research business to do there, them closing large parts of the library visitors' area wasn't a big problem. But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there until the renovations are complete. The 10th Floor exhibits (LBJ's Oval Office, Lady Bird's office and display) are all open,...
